Robertson Takes Over at Texas
Southern
Michael Robertson has resigned at Prairie View
A&M to become head coach at Texas Southern.
A two-time SWAC Coach of the Year, Robertson
coached the Panthers for the past six seasons. Prairie View won
consecutive SWAC Championships in 2006 and 2007. Robertson was
named Black College Baseball Coach of the Year in 2004 and 2007.
A 1987 graduate of Huston-Tillotson, Robertson
earned a Master’s degree in education from Prairie View A&M in
1992.
A native of Houston, Robertson takes over for
former Texas Southern head coach Candy Robinson, who recently
stepped down.
