Horton earns new five-year contract

 

Oregon head coach George Horton has received a new five-year contract with the Ducks.

 

Horton will earn a base salary of $200,000 per year as well as $250,000 per year in a guaranteed salary supplement. He can also receive annual performance incentives based on competitive excellence, ticket sales and academic achievement of the baseball student-athletes.

 

In 15 years as a Division I head coach, Horton has compiled a record of 622-321-2 (.659). A two-time National Coach of the Year, Horton led Cal State Fullerton to the national title in 2004. In four seasons with Oregon, Horton has compiled a record of 132-109-1 (.548). The Ducks were 46-19 this past year and reached the NCAA Super Regional for the first time.
