2012 Coaching Changes

Folmar promoted at Oral Roberts

Assistant coach Ryan Folmar has been promoted to head coach at Oral Roberts. He succeeds Rob Walton, who resigned to become pitching coach at Oklahoma State.

Folmar has been with the Golden Eagles for nine seasons as hitting coach. He helped ORU win Summit League titles each year and advance to the NCAA Tournament.

The Golden Eagles advanced to the Super Regionals in 2006 and finished the season ranked in the Top 25. ORU finished in the Top 20 nationally in batting average, runs and slugging percentage.

The 2008 squad ranked in the Top 20 in hits, doubles, batting average and runs.

Folmar was a four-year letter winner at Oklahoma State from 1994-97, helping the Cowboys reach the 1996 College World Series. He played for two seasons in the Colorado Rockies organization.

Folmar spent five seasons as Director of Baseball Operations at Oklahoma State from 1999-2003. He was responsible for administrative duties, including the Cowboy baseball camps and handling color commentary on OSU radio broadcasts for three years.
