Meggs Hired as Head Coach at
Washington
Indiana State head coach Lindsay Meggs has been
picked to lead the baseball program at Washington.
Meggs just completed his third season with the
Sycamores. ISU posted a 33-21 record and placed second in the
Missouri Valley Conference with a 15-7 league mark. Meggs was
named MVC Coach of the Year and was honorable mention for CBI
national Coach of the Year.
Prior to his stint at ISU, Meggs spent 13 seasons
as head coach at Cal State Chico. He led the Wildcats to a pair
of NCAA Division II National Championships in seven World Series
appearances. Cal State Chico won eight conference titles and
seven regional championships in a 10-year period. Meggs posted a
record of 538-228-4 with the Wildcats.
Meggs was also head coach at Long Beach City
College and Oxnard College. He was an assistant at California
Lutheran and De Anza Junior College.
Meggs was a third baseman during his four-year
career at UCLA. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from UCLA in 1985
and a Master’s degree in physical education at Azusa Pacific in
1992.
