Stricklin
Nets Extension from Kent State
Scott
Stricklin, who guided Kent State to the 2012 College World
Series, has been rewarded with a six-year, $300,000 a year
extension.
Stricklin has led the Golden Flashes to four
straight MAC titles and compiled a 314-165 season spanning eight
seasons as coach of his alma mater. Kent State went 47-20 last
season, winning the Gary Regional and Eugene Super Regional to
reach its first College World Series. In Omaha, the Golden
Flashes lost to Arkansas before ending Florida’s season; South
Carolina ended their CWS run.
Kent State also announced Monday that it would
install lights at Schoonover Stadium for the 2013 season. The
school has raised nearly $1 million from private donors since
June that will fund other facility projects.
