Hofstra Announces Anderson as
New Head Coach
Former assistant coach Patrick Anderson has been
named head coach at Hofstra, replacing Chris Dotolo.
A native of Silver Spring, Md., Anderson was an
assistant for the Pride from 1998 to 2001. He has spent the past
eight seasons as a minor league hitting and catching instructor
for the Kansas City Royals.
Anderson started his coaching career in 1996 at
Gannon University in Erie, Pa., He left Gannon in 1997 to work
at The Baseball Factory in Ellicott City, Md.
A 1997 graduate of Mars Hill, Anderson earned a
degree in physical education with a concentration in sports
management. He played for the Chillicothe Paints and the
Zanesville Greys in the Frontier League and was an all-star for
both teams.
Anderson is married to Hofstra softball associate
head coach Larissa Anderson. The couple lives in Levittown, N.Y.
