UCLA climbs to second, UL up to third, TAMU falls to fourth,
TCU stays fifth
After
going 3-1 this past week, LSU stays in the top
spot in the CollegeBaseballInsider.com Composite
Poll.

composite poll: Baseball America, Collegiate Baseball,
D1baseball.com, National
Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and USA Today Coaches Poll.
LSU is the first team to be No. 1 in consecutive weeks since
Virginia from March 2 to March 9. The Tigers topped Tulane before taking two
of three from second-ranked Texas A&M in SEC action.
LSU is first in all five polls.
UCLA went 3-1 and bumped up to No. 2. The Bruins defeated UC
Irvine before winning two of three at Stanford in Pac-12 play. UCLA was second in
all five polls.
Louisville was 4-1 and rose to third. The
Cardinals won at Cincinnati and lost to Western Kentucky before sweeping a three-game
home series from Bethune-Cookman.
Louisville was third in three polls and fourth in the other two.
Texas A&M had a 2-2 week and fell to fourth. The Aggies
defeated UT Arlington before dropping two of three at top-ranked LSU. Texas
A&M was third in two polls, fourth in one poll and fifth in the other two.
TCU had its second straight 4-0 week and stayed in fifth. The Horned
Frogs beat Incarnate Word before sweeping three from Texas in a Big 12 set. TCU was fourth in two polls
and fifth in the other three.
College of Charleston (No. 19) and Rice (No. 20) entered the
poll this week, while Missouri and Maryland dropped out. No. 6 Vanderbilt rose
five places, while No. 11 Florida and No. 13 USC both fell five spots.
The CBI Composite Poll contains four teams from the SEC,
including three of the top six. There
are three from the ACC and Pac-12, two from the Big Ten, Big 12, Conference
USA and Missouri
Valley, and one
from the Big West and Colonial.

Why a composite poll? CBI felt that
five national polls was enough. Plus, each week you find discrepancies that make
it tough to gauge where a team really is. This week's example: Florida
Atlantic is No.
14 in one poll, No. 26 in another.
