Texas A&M went 5-0 to stay undefeated at 21-0 and jumped two places to fourth. The Aggies took two from UT Pan American before sweeping Auburn. Texas A&M was second in one poll, fourth in one poll and fifth in the other three.

Vanderbilt had a 5-0 week and remained in fifth. The Commodores defeated Quinnipiac twice before taking three from Arkansas. The Commodores were fourth in three polls and fifth in the other two.

Miami (No. 18) and Illinois (No. 20) entered the poll this week, while North Carolina and Mississippi State dropped out. No. 12 Florida State rose six places, while Virginia fell nine spots to No. 10.

BA-Baseball America poll; CB-Collegiate Baseball poll; D1-D1baseball.com poll; NCBWA-National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association poll; US-USA Today Coaches poll; Composite-Sum of rankings; Last rank-Last week's composite ranking

Why a composite poll? CBI felt that five national polls was enough. Plus, each week you find discrepancies that make it tough to gauge where a team really is. This week's example: Oregon is No. 11 in one poll, unranked in another.
