Florida State returns to No. 1 in CBI Composite
Poll
Florida rises to second, LSU climbs to third,
Baylor up to No. 4
After
spending a week at No. 2, Florida State has returned to the top spot in the
CollegeBaseballInsider.com Composite Poll.
The Seminoles went 3-2 during the week, splitting a
doubleheader at Clemson on Monday before taking two of three from No. 15 NC
State. FSU is first in three polls and fifth in the other.
Florida went 2-2 and rose one place to second. The Gators
lost at Samford before winning two of three at Auburn. Florida is second in
two polls, third in one and fourth in the other.
LSU enjoyed a 3-1 week and climbed five spots to third. The
Tigers topped Nicholls on Tuesday before winning two of three at top-ranked
South Carolina. LSU is second in two polls, fifth in one and seventh in the
other.
Baylor had a 3-1 week and bumped up one place to fourth. The
Bears beat UTSA on Tuesday before taking two of three from Texas. Baylor is
third in two polls and sixth in the other two polls.
South Carolina went 1-2 against LSU and dropped from
first to fifth. The Gamecocks are third, fourth, fifth and seventh in the
polls.
This week's poll includes five teams from the SEC. There
are four from the ACC and Pac-12, two from the Big 12 and Conference USA and
single entries from the Big Ten, Big West and West Coast Conference.

it tough to gauge where a team really is. This week's example: Arkansas is No.
14 in three polls, No. 25 in the other.
