Virginia remains No. 1 in the CBI Composite Poll
Arizona State stays in second, Georgia Tech sits in third,
LSU up to fourth
By sitting
on top of two of the national polls and in second in the other two, the Virginia Cavaliers
stay at No. 1 in the latest CollegeBaseballInsider.com Composite Poll.
Virginia is first in the
Baseball America and NCBWA polls, and second in the Collegiate Baseball and USA Today/ESPN polls.
The Cavaliers defeated William and Mary and won at James Madison before
sweeping a home ACC series against Boston College.
Arizona State stays in
second, but closes the gap to No. 1. The Sun Devils are first in the Collegiate Baseball and USA
Today/ESPN polls, second in the NCBWA and third in the Baseball America
poll. ASU won twice at Cal State Fullerton before taking three from Houston.
Georgia Tech remains in
third. The Yellow Jackets are third in two polls, fourth in another and fifth
in one.
Tech beat Georgia before taking two of three at Maryland.
LSU bumps up one spot to fourth. The Tigers defeated Nicholls
State before taking two of three from Arkansas.
Florida climbs three places to fifth.
The Gators beat Army and Florida State before sweeping a three-game set from
Mississippi State.
UCLA rose five places to No. 7. Texas
fell five spots to No. 9.
Alabama, South Carolina and UC Irvine
entered the Top 20, while Vanderbilt, North Carolina and Rice all fell out of
the poll.
