Without
making a single start in 2013, lefty Ross Mitchell (right) piled
up a 13-0 record with a 1.53 ERA in 94 relief innings to help
Mississippi State to the College World Series Championship
Series.
Mitchell, a junior from Smyrna,
Tenn., is up to his old tricks again. He’s 1-0 with a 1.50 ERA –
making him 17-0 in his career – and was named the SEC’s
co-pitcher of the week after baffling Michigan State for 6.2
inning – relief innings, of course. Mitchell took time out to
answer CBI’s questions about the Bulldogs’ magical run last year
and whether he ever plants the seed with his coaches to finally
give him a start, among others. Special thanks to MSU baseball
SID Kyle Niblett for asking our questions and sending along the
YouTube link below.
