Arkansas
The Razorbacks are making their 29th NCAA tourney appearance and 15th in the past 16 seasons. Arkansas is hosting a regional for the seventh time and the first time in consecutive years since 2006-07. The Razorbacks went 30-3 at home this season. Arkansas tied for the top spot in the SEC Western Division with an 18-12 mark. Heston Kjerstad (.336/11/47) was named SEC Freshman of the Year, the first Razorback to claim the award. Carson Shaddy (.327/10/38) earned All-SEC First Team honors. Blaine Knight went 10-0 with an ERA of 2.78.
Southern Miss
The Golden Eagles are making their 15th trip to the NCAA tourney. Southern Miss is 5-1 overall against DBU, winning two of three in Dallas in 2006 and sweeping a three-game set in Hattiesburg the following season. The Golden Eagles claimed the regular season and tournament crowns in Conference USA. Luke Reynolds was named C-USA Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year, hitting .400 with 20 doubles, 15 homers and 60 RBI. All-American Nick Sandlin is 9-0 with an ERA of 1.13. He has struck out 134 and walked just 15 in 95.1 innings.
DBU
The Patriots were 23-7 at home this season. DBU is one of 10 teams to reach the NCAA tourney each of the past five seasons and one of four teams (Florida, Florida State, Louisville) to win 40 games each of the past five years. The Patriots lead the coutry with 144 doubles and are fifth in slugging percentage at .495. The Patriots fell 7-6 in 10 innings to Missouri State in the championship game of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament. Devlin Granberg has 100 hits, batting .426 with 16 doubles, 11 homers, 65 runs and 65 RBI. Trevor Conn went 8-1 with a 2.92 ERA.
Oral Roberts
The other Golden Eagles are making their 28th NCAA tourney appearance. ORU went 27-5 at home and 24-6 in Summit League contests. The Golden Eagles have won a conference-record 19 Summit League tourney titles. Noah Cummings, Summit League Player of the Year for the second consecutive year, has 200 career RBI, a school record. He is batting .323 with 10 doubles, three triples, nine homers and 55 RBI. Kyler Stout has had 14 saves this season and is the ORU career leader with 28. Miguel Ausua (8-1, 3.27 ERA) is the Summit Pitcher of the Year for the second straight season. Riley Keizor was Newcomer of the Year and Ryan Folmar was Coach of the Year for the fourth straight season.
