Jeff Degano allowed three hits over eight innings with nine strikeouts as Indiana State shocked Dallas Baptist. Degano (8-3) walked a pair. Austin Conway worked a hitless ninth to record his eighth save. Landon Curry (3 for 3) had an RBI double in the third, while Kaden Moore had two hits and scored both runs for the Sycamores (28-24). Trooper Reynolds had two hits for the Patriots (41-12).

 

Matt Hall struck out 11 in eight innings as Missouri State shut out Southern Illinois. Hall (10-2) allowed five hits and three walks. Tate Matheny drove in a pair, while Dylan Becker went 2 for 3 with two runs and one RBI for the Bears (42-10). Braden Mosley went 1 for 3 with a double for the Salukis (11-45).

 

Isaac Smith and Spencer Gaa both had two hits and two RBI as Bradley downed Evansville. Elliot Ashbeck (11-4, 8 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 2 BB, 6 K) earned the victory for the Braves (33-18). Kevin Kaczmarski had a two-run homer in the eighth for the Purple Aces (29-23).

Lex Kaplan went 3 for 4 with two solo homers as Tulane slipped past UConn to move on to face East Carolina. Kaplan hit a shot to right-center in the first and added an eighth-inning homer down the right-field line for the Green Wave (34-21). Patrick Deuster tossed seven innings with seven hits, one run and five strikeouts for Tulane. Blake Davey went 3 for 4 with a run for the Huskies (33-24), who meet UCF in an elimination game.

 

Charlie Yorgen delivered a two-out RBI single to right-center that scored Hunter Allen with the game-winning run as East Carolina edged UCF. Earlier in the inning, the Pirates (37-21) missed a chance to tie the game when Allen hit a ball off the wall in right and Parker Lamm was thrown out at the plate on a relay from Erik Barber and James Vasquez to the plate. Travis Watkins homered and drove in two for ECU. Dylan Moore had two hits and two RBI, and Kyle Marsh went 3 for 4 with a run for the Knights (31-26).

 

Brandon Montgomery went 2 for 4 with a homer, two runs and four RBI as Memphis eliminated Cincinnati. Carter White scored three times and drove in two, and Darien Tubbs added three hits and four stolen bases as the Tigers (36-20) scored five times in the first, only to allow five runs in the bottom of the first. Kyle Mottice had three hits and two runs, and Treg Haberkorn had two hits, two runs and two RBI for the Bearcats (15-41).

David Thompson had a two-run single, and Garrett Kennedy added a three-run homer as Miami scored seven times in the bottom of the eighth inning in upending Virginia in Pool B play. The Cavaliers (34-20) had taken a 5-2 lead in the top of the eighth on Joe McCarthy’s two-run double. But the Hurricanes (43-13) exploded behind Thompson’s 80th RBI of the year. Bryan Garcia (5-2) picked up the win for Miami. Kenny Towns had a three-run homer for Virginia.

 

Boomer Biegalski allowed four hits and struck out seven in 6.1 scoreless innings, and D.J. Stewart tripled and drove in two as Florida State squeaked past Clemson, getting a bit of revenge after the Tigers swept the Seminoles over the weekend. ACC Pitcher of the Year Matthew Crownover allowed three hits and three runs with eight strikeouts in a terrific start for Clemson (31-26), allowing all of that damage in the third inning.

 

Lincoln Henzman tossed six innings of splendid relief, allowing three hits and striking out seven, and Brendan McKay went 4 for 4 with a homer, two runs and two RBI as Louisville knocked off North Carolina. Sutton Whiting had two hits and three RBI for the Cardinals (43-14). Tyler Ramirez homered for the Tar Heels (33-23).

 

Atlantic Sun (Swanson Stadium, Fort Myers, Fla.)

After Jacksonville scored a run in the top of the 16th, Cory Reid belted a two-run homer with two away in the bottom of the frame to give Stetson the first-round marathon win. The Hatters (29-28) had scored one in the eighth and two in the ninth to eliminate a 6-3 deficit. Reid finished with two hits and two runs, while Patrick Mazeika and Will Mackenzie both drove in a pair for Stetson. Tyler Warmoth (1-1) allowed five hits and a run in eight innings of relief with four walks and four strikeouts to earn the victory. Nathan Koslowski went 4 for 6 with a run, while Angelo Amendolare had three hits and two runs for the Dolphins (26-29).

 

Jonathan Allison had an RBI triple in the top of the eighth to snap a 1-1 tie and propel Lipscomb past host FGCU. Jaesung Hwang (2-1, 1.1 IP, BB, K) picked up the win for the Bison (36-18) in relief of Ian Martinez-McGraw (7.2 IP, 5 H, R, 4 BB, 2 K). Jake Noll went 1 for 4 with an RBI for the Eagles (28-25-1).

 

In the day's first game, North Florida scored multiple runs in each of the first four innings in rolling past Kennesaw State. Corbin Olmstead went 3 for 4 with a double, a homer, three runs and four RBI for the Ospreys (43-14). Evan Incinelli (6-3) tossed a four-hit shutout with one walk and two strikeouts. Taylor Allum went 2 for 3 for the Owls (28-27).

 

Atlantic 10 (Barcroft Park, Arlington, Va.)

Conference player of the year Michael Morman hit a two-run homer, and Jansen Fraser added a solo shot as Richmond got past host George Washington despite totaling only four hits. Ryan Cook allowed five hits and one run and struck out five for the Spiders (28-23). Bobby LeWarne threw well for the Colonials (30-21), allowing the four hits and striking out five in 7.2 innings.

 

Matt Davis went 5 for 5 with a homer and three RBI, and Jo Jo Howie tossed a complete-game shutout as VCU coasted past Davidson. Howie (7-6) allowed five hits and struck out nine. Davis ripped a homer in the first to put the Rams (34-22) on top, and Darian Carpenter added a three-run homer in the third inning as VCU scored in each of the first six innings, including six unearned runs. The Wildcats fell to 26-21.

 

Derek Gardella had two hits and three RBI, and Jordan Powell added three hits and three runs as Rhode Island scored seven unanswered runs after trailing 3-0 to Fordham. Lou Distasio allowed five hits and three runs in seven innings for the Rams (24-23-1). Joseph DeVito had two hits and two RBI for Fordham (22-31).

 

Brandon Chapman went 3 for 5 with four RBI, and Robbie Metz had two hits, three runs and an RBI as George Washington eliminated Fordham in the final game of the day. Jacob Williams pitched into the ninth to post the win for the Colonials (31-21). Joseph DeVito had two hits and two RBI for the second straight game for the Rams (22-32).

Brock Hunter and two relievers combined on a four-hit shutout as Coastal Carolina blanked Winthrop. Hunter (4-0) allowed three hits and two walks in 5.2 innings with four strikeouts. Andrew Beckwith worked 2.1 hitless innings with two strikeouts, while Mike Morrison gave up one hit in the ninth with one punchout. Zach Remillard went 3 for 4 with two RBI, while G.K. Young homered and drove in a pair for the Chanticleers (37-18). Anthony Paulsen went 1 for 4 with a double for the Eagles (39-18).

 

Kyle Leady was a triple short of the cycle with three runs as Campbell eliminated Charleston Southern. The Camels (32-24) added to a 3-1 lead with four in the fifth. Andrew Widell had two hits and one RBI for the Bucs (23-30).

 

Brandon Harvell had an RBI single in the top of the ninth to snap a 3-3 tie as Longwood eliminated Liberty. Kyri Washington (2 for 4, 2 RBI) homered for the Lancers (22-33). Ashton Perritt (3 for 5, 2 R) homered for the Flames (33-23).

Dalton Lundeen tossed a seven-hit shutout as Valparaiso blanked Youngstown State. Lundeen (5-7) walked two and fanned seven. Spencer Mahoney (1 for 3, 2 BB, 2 R) homered for the Crusaders (22-29). Kevin Hix had two hits for the Penguins (16-34).

 

Derek Peake went 3 for 6 with two runs and three RBI as Milwaukee outscored Oakland. Mike Porcaro homered and knocked in three for the Panthers (36-18). Tyler Pagano went 2 for 5 with two runs and three RBI for the Grizzlies (10-39).

Brett Burner had a two-run single to cap a three-run seventh as Texas A&M-Corpus Christi upset Southeastern Louisiana. Trevor Belicek (9-4, 7.2 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 2 BB, 3 K) recorded the win, while Jacob Dorris (1.1 IP, K) notched his ninth save for the Islanders (24-24). Carson Crites and Ryan Byers both had a double and an RBI for the Lions (41-16).

 

Logan Preston went 2 for 4 with a double, a triple, one run and two RBI as Central Arkansas edged Nicholls. Ty Tice had two hits and three runs for the Bears (28-22). Kyle Reese had two hits and two RBI for the Colonels (34-18-1).

 

Matthew McCollough allowed five hits and one unearned run in going the distance as Houston Baptist knocked off Northwestern State. McCollough (8-2) walked one and struck out six. Greg Espinosa went 2 for 4 with a double and one RBI for the Huskies (25-25). CJ Webster had two hits for the Demons (30-22).
