Robinson drives in two as Ole Miss downs Texas A&M

LSU wins series at South Carolina, Louisville tops NC State, UCLA wins

 

Ole Miss 7, No. 6 Texas A&M 4

In Oxford, Miss., Errol Robinson went 2 for 3 with one run and two RBI as Ole Miss split its SEC series with Texas A&M. The game was halted after seven innings and the final game of the set was canceled due to inclement weather. Kyle Watson went 2 for 2 with three runs for the Rebels (15-14, 30-25). Ryne Birk (2 RBI) and Hunter Melton both homered for the Aggies (18-10, 43-10).

 

No. 1 LSU 8, South Carolina 1

In Columbia, S.C., Alex Lange struck out nine in five innings as LSU clinched an SEC series victory at South Carolina. Lange (10-0) allowed one hit, three walks and one run. Alex Bregman (2 for 4, 2 RBI) and Chris Chinea (2 for 4, 2B, 2 R, 3 RBI) both homered for the Tigers (21-8, 46-9). Marcus Mooney went 1 for 4 with an RBI for the Gamecocks (13-17, 32-24).

 

No. 2 Louisville 8, NC State 5

In Raleigh, N.C., Logan Taylor had a two-run single to cap a three-run ninth as Louisville won its ACC series at NC State. Corey Ray had two doubles and three runs for the Cardinals (25-5, 42-14). Zack Burdi (5-0, 1.2 IP, 2 H, BB, 4 K) earned the victory. Andrew Knizner and Joe Dunand (1 for 3, 2 R, 2 RBI) both homered for the Wolfpack (15-14, 31-20).

 

No. 3 UCLA 6, Arizona 0

In Los Angeles, Grant Watson hurled seven scoreless innings as UCLA blanked Arizona for the second straight game. Watson (8-4) allowed four hits and did not walk a batter. Brett Stephens went 3 for 5 with one run and one RBI, while Ty Moore homered for the Bruins (20-6, 39-12). Riley Moore doubled twice for the Wildcats (12-17, 28-22).

 

No. 4 TCU 4, Oklahoma 2

In Norman, Okla., Garrett Crain had three hits and three RBI as TCU completed a three-game Big 12 sweep at Oklahoma. Crain had an RBI double in the second and snapped a 2-2 deadlock with a two-run single in the sixth. Tyler Alexander (5-2 IP, 8 H, 6 R, 2 R, 2 K) earned the victory, while Preston Guillory worked around one hit in the ninth for his second save. Anthony Hermelyn (2 for 4) had a two-run homer in the fourth for the Sooners (13-11, 32-25).
