Moore's RBI single
lifts UCLA over Gonzaga
Louisville edges Clemson, Texas A&M nips

No. 2 UCLA 6, Gonzaga 5
In Los Angeles, Ty Moore had an RBI single in the
bottom of the ninth as UCLA won its series with Gonzaga. Brett
Stephens (2 for 4, 3 R) had a one-out single in the ninth, moved
to second on a walk to Kevin Kramer (2 for 4, 2B) and scored on
a base hit by Moore (3 for 5, 2 RBI). David Berg (5-1, 2 IP, BB,
2 K) earned the win for the Bruins (33-11). Mitchell Gunsolus (2
for 5) and Taylor Jones both homered, while Jeffrey Bohling had
two hits and two runs for the Bulldogs (21-23).
No. 3 Louisville 5, Clemson 3
In Clemson, S.C., Corey Ray had a two-run homer
in the top of the seventh to snap a 1-1 tie as Louisville evened
its ACC series with Clemson. Ray went 2 for 5 with two runs and
three RBI, while Zach Lucas (3 for 4) also went deep for the
Cardinals (20-3, 36-11). Reed Rohlman drove in two for the
Tigers (13-12, 24-22).
No. 4 Texas A&M 8, Tennessee 7
In Knoxville, Tenn., Logan Taylor went 4 for 5
with two RBI as Texas A&M completed an SEC sweep of Tennessee.
Blake Allemand had three hits and three runs, while Mitchell Nau
had two hits and two RBI for the Aggies (16-7, 41-7). Christin
Stewart (2 for 4, 2 RBI) and Andrew Lee both homered, while
Parker Wormsley went 3 for 5 with two runs and two RBI for the
Volunteers (7-17, 18-24).
No. 5 TCU 5, West Virginia 0
In Morgantown, W.Va., Alex Young tossed eight
scoreless innings with eight strikeouts as TCU swept its Big 12
series at West Virginia. Young (9-2) allowed three hits and two
walks. Garrett Crain had two hits and two RBI, while Cody Jones
went 3 for 4 with two runs for the Horned Frogs (13-5, 37-9).
Shaun Corso went 2 for 4 with a double for the Mountaineers
(6-12, 24-22).
No. 6 Vanderbilt 7, Kentucky 3
In Lexington, Ky., Jeren Kendall had a two-run
homer in the top of the eighth to snap a 3-3 tie and Will Toffey
added a two-run single in the ninth as Vanderbilt won its SEC
series at Kentucky. Jordan Sheffield (4-1, 1.1 IP, BB, 3 K)
earned the victory, while Ben Bowden retired the final four
batters to record his second save. JaVon Shelby had a three-run
homer in the first for the Wildcats (11-12, 26-20).
