Pawlowski to lead
program at WKU
John Pawlowski has been hired as the head coach
at WKU.
Pawlowski has a record
505-318 (.614) in 14 seasons as a head coach. He spent five
years leading the program at Auburn (2009-13, 167-126) with
one NCAA Tournament appearance. Pawlowski reached the NCAA
Tournament three times in nine seasons as head coach at
College of Charleston (2000-08, 338-192). He was named Coach
of the Year three times with the Cougars.
For the past two seasons, Pawlowski was the
associate head coach and pitching coach at San Diego State. He
helped the Aztecs advance to the NCAA Tournament in both
seasons.
Pawlowski spent five
seasons as an assistant at Clemson (1994-98) and one at
Arizona State (1999).
A native of Johnson City, N.Y., Pawlowski
pitched for three seasons at Clemson (1983-85). He posted a
21-12 career mark with a 3.89 ERA in 54 games.
The Hilltoppers were 24-28 overall this past
season and 10-19 in Conference USA.
