Regional Sites Announced
The NCAA Division I Baseball Committee has
released the 16 regional sites for the 2015 NCAA Tournament.
The 16 sites and hosts are:
• Baton Rouge, La. – LSU (48-10)
• Champaign, Ill. – Illinois (47-8-1)
• College Station, Texas – Texas A&M (45-11)
• Coral Gables, Fla. – Miami (Fla.) (44-14)
• Dallas, Texas – Dallas Baptist (43-13)
• Fort Worth, Texas – TCU (43-11)
• Fullerton, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton
(34-22)
• Gainesville, Fla. – Florida (*43-16)
• Houston, Texas – Houston (42-18)
• Lake Elsinore, Calif. – UC Santa Barbara
(40-15-1)
• Los Angeles, Calif. – UCLA (42-14)
• Louisville, Ky. – Louisville (43-16)
• Nashville, Tenn. – Vanderbilt (*42-18)
• Springfield, Mo. – Missouri State (45-10)
• Stillwater, Okla. – Oklahoma State (37-18)
• Tallahassee, Fla. – Florida State (41-19)
Florida State is hosting for the 32nd time,
while Miami is hosting for the 26th time and LSU for the 23rd
time. Other hosts and times hosting: Florida (13), Cal State
Fullerton (12), Oklahoma State (12), Texas A&M (10), UCLA (6),
Louisville (5), TCU (5), Vanderbilt (5), Houston (3).
First-time hosts include Dallas Baptist, Illinois, Missouri
State and UC Santa Barbara, which will play at The Diamond in
Lake Elsinore, Calif.
There are four hosts from the SEC, three from
the ACC, two from the Big 12, Big West and Missouri Valley,
and one from the American, Big Ten and Pac-12.
Eight schools also hosted a year ago: Florida,
Florida State, LSU, Louisville, Miami, Oklahoma State, TCU and
Vanderbilt.
The entire 64-team field will be announced on
Monday, May 25 at 12 noon ET on ESPNU. There are 31 automatic
bids and 33 at-large selections.
