Baton Rouge Regional - #1 LSU wins

LSU scored single runs in the ninth and 10th to
get past Oregon State and capture the Baton Rouge Regional. The
Tigers (46-16) will host either UCF or Stony Brook in the Super
Regional. Ty Ross doubled in the top of the ninth and
pinch-runner Jared Foster scored on a two-bagger by Alex Edward
to knot the score at 5. Austin Nola (2 BB, 2 R) walked in the
top of the 10th, moved to third on a double by JaCoby Jones (2
for 5) and scored on a wild pitch as LSU took a 6-5 advantage.
Nick Goody struck out the side in the bottom of the frame to
record his 11th save. Raph Rhymes (2 for 4) (pictured) had a two-run homer

In the first game, Ben Wetzler allowed two
unearned runs in 8.2 innings as Oregon State stopped ULM in an
elimination contest. Wetzler (8-2) scattered eight hits, walked
three and struck out eight. OSU scored four in the second, three
in the fourth and two in the fifth and seventh. Michael Conforto
went 3 for 4 with a double and four RBI, while Tyler Smith was 2
for 5 with a triple and three RBI for the Beavers (40-19). Joey
Rapp went 2 for 3 with one RBI for the Warhawks (32-30).
Columbia Regional - #1 South Carolina wins
#1 South Carolina 4, #2 Clemson 3 (Clemson

South Carolina scored three in the top of the
first and held on to defeat Clemson and win the Columbia Super
Regional in front of a sellout crowd of 8,242 at Carolina
Stadium. The Gamecocks (43-17) will host the winner of the
Charlottesville Regional with a trip to Omaha on the line.
Two-time defending national champion South Carolina has won 19
straight postseason contests, an NCAA record. The Gamecocks
advance to their 10th Super Regional in the past 13 years. South
Carolina added a run in the sixth before the Tigers (35-28) put
up two in the sixth and one in the ninth. Tanner English had two
hits, including a double, and a run for the Gamecocks. Jordan
Montgomery (4-1, 6.2 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 1 BB, 6 K) earned the
victory, while Tyler Webb (2.1 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 4 K) recorded his
second save. Thomas Brittle went 1 for 4 with a double, one run
and one RBI for Clemson.
In the first game, Jason Stolz homered twice and
drove in three as Clemson eliminated Coastal Carolina. Stolz had
a solo shot in the top of the third to tie the game at 1, and
his two-run blast snapped a 2-2 tie and capped a three-run
fourth. Dominic Leone (7-4, 7 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 4 BB, 6 K)
earned the victory, while Scott Firth (2 IP, 1 H, 1 BB, 3 K)
recorded his third save for the Tigers (35-27). Jacob May went 2
for 4, while Ted Blackman was 1 for 3 with a homer and two runs
for the Chanticleers (42-19).
Gainesville Regional - #1 Florida wins

Mike Zunino and Daniel Pigott both drove in four
as Florida pounded Georgia Tech to win the Gainesville Regional.
The Gators (45-18) will host either NC State or Vanderbilt in
next weekend’s Gainesville Super Regional. Florida scored four
in the first and three in the second before exploding for seven
in the fifth. Pigott (2 for 4) had a two-run double in first and
a two-run single in the fifth, while Zunino (1 for 3, 3 R)
belted a three-run homer in the second. Brian Johnson (7-4, 5
IP, 3 H, 1 R, 4 K) picked up the win. Sam Dove (1 for 3) and
Evan Martin (2 for 3, 2 R) both homered for the Yellow Jackets
(38-26).
In the early game, Alex Cruz and Zane Evans
combined on the three-hit shutout as Georgia Tech eliminated
College of Charleston. Cruz (8-3) allowed two hits and two walks
in a career-long six innings with three strikeouts to register
the victory. Evans surrendered one hit over the final three
innings with one punchout for his seventh save. Evans also drove
in the game’s first run with a RBI double in the top of the
sixth. Connor Lynch added a two-run homer in the ninth for the
Yellow Jackets (38-25), the first for the freshman. Brandon
Murray, Rob Harding and Jimmy Holton all had hits for the
Cougars (38-22).
Stanford Regional - #1 Stanford wins
#1 Stanford 8, #2 Pepperdine 7 (Pepperdine

Stanford overcame an early 4-0 deficit, taking
the lead for good with a five-run fourth, in defeating
Pepperdine to capture the Stanford Regional. The Waves (36-23)
scored four in the top of the first before the Cardinal (41-16)
answered with one in the first, two in the third and five in the
fourth. Alex Blandino drove in four, including a three-run homer
in the fourth for Stanford. Stephen Piscotty (6-2, 6.1 IP, 11 H,
7 R, 4 ER, 1 BB, 2 K) got the win, while Sahil Bloom (2.2 IP, 1
H, 1 BB, 1 K) earned his second save. Tony Cooper had two hits
and three RBI for Pepperdine. Stanford advances to its ninth
Super Regional and will play at No. 3 Florida State.
In the first game, Matt Forgatch had a grand slam
to cap a six-run top of the ninth as Pepperdine rallied past
Fresno State in an elimination game. The Bulldogs (31-28) scored
two in the second and a bases-clearing double by Kenneth Wise (2
for 4) in the fifth pushed the lead to 5-0. The Waves (36-22)
put up two in the seventh before the ninth-inning eruption. Tony
Cooper had three hits and two runs, while Floyd Given had three
hits and two RBI for the Pepperdine.
Houston Regional - #2 Arkansas wins

Randall Fant and three relievers held Sam Houston
State to one run as Arkansas captured the Houston Regional. The
Razorbacks (42-19) will face either Baylor or Dallas Baptist in
a Super Regional. Fant allowed four hits in 4.1 scoreless
innings in the start. Nolan Sanburn (4-1, 2.2 IP, 3 K) earned
the victory in relief. Brandon Moore (1 IP, 3 H, 1 R) and Colby
Suggs (1 IP, 1 K) secured the win for Arkansas. The Razorbacks
scored two in the first and one in the second to take the early
lead. Joe Serrano went 3 for 4 with a double and one RBI for
Arkansas. Tim Redden went 1 for 2 with one RBI for the Bearkats
(40-22).
Michael Oros allowed one run in eight innings and
Michael Burchett notched his 10th save as Sam Houston State
knocked off Rice. Oros (7-1) scattered eight hits with three
walks and six strikeouts for the Bearkats (40-21). Burchett
retired the Owls (41-19) in order in the ninth. John Hale went 3
for 4 with a double and two runs, while Anthony Azar had a
two-run single in the eighth for SHSU. Christian Stringer went 2
for 4 with a run for Rice.
Tucson Regional - #1 Arizona wins

Johnny Field had four hits and seven RBI to lead
Arizona past Louisville to win the Tucson Regional in front of
3,485 fans at Hi Corbett Field. The Wildcats (41-17) will host
St. John’s in the Super Regional. Field had a grand slam in the
top of the third to snap a scoreless tie. Arizona added one in
the fifth, put up four in the sixth and seventh before tallying
three in the eighth. Riley Moore was 4 for 4 with four runs,
while Joey Rickard went 2 for 4 with three runs and three RBI
for the Wildcats. James Farris (7-3, 12 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 7 K)
went the distance for Arizona. Cole Sturgeon went 3 for 5 with
two RBI for the Cardinals (41-22).
In the earlier contest, Ty Young had two hits and
drove in four as Louisville eliminated Missouri. The Cardinals
(41-21) put up three in the first, sixth and ninth innings. Nick
Ratajczak went 3 for 3 with three runs for Louisville. Matt Koch
(1-2, 4.2 IP, 4 H, 2 K) earned the win in relief. Eric Garcia
had two hits and two RBI for the Tigers (33-28).
Chapel Hill Regional - #3 St. John's wins

Mike Zolk had a pinch-hit two-run single in a
three-run seventh as North Carolina eliminated East Carolina.
Benton Moss (7-2) allowed six
hits and one run in six innings with no walks and one strikeout
to earn the win. Michael Morin (1 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 2 K) recorded
his 19th save for the Tar Heels (46-15). Tim Younger went 3 for 4 with one RBI, while John
Wooten homered for the Pirates (36-24-1).
Charlottesville Regional

Dillon Overton struck out a career-high 11 as
Oklahoma eliminated Virginia to advance to the championship
round against Appalachian State. Overton (6-3) allowed seven
hits and three runs (two earned) in 8.1 innings with a pair of
walks. Kindle Ladd (2 H, 1 R) got the final two outs for his
second save. Jack Mayfield had a three-run triple in the fourth
as the Sooners (40-23) built a 4-0 lead. OU was up 5-1 before
the Cavaliers (39-19-1) scored three in the top of the ninth.
Matt Oberste homered and scored twice for the Sooners. Chris
Taylor went 4 for 5 with a double, one run and one RBI for UVa.
In the first game, Max White had a RBI single in
the top of the 10th to help Oklahoma nip Army in an elimination
contest to give head coach Sunny Golloway his 300th career win
at OU. The Black Knights finish their season at 41-15. After
Army stranded a pair in the bottom of the ninth, Caleb Bushyhead
(2 for 4) had a leadoff single in the 10th for the Sooners
(39-23). He was sacrificed to second and came home on the base
hit by White. The Black Knights got a runner on in the bottom of
the 10th, but could not plate the equalizer. Steven Okert (9-7,
3 IP, 1 H, 3 K) earned the win in relief of Jonathan Gray (7 IP,
5 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 6 K). Gunnar Carroll (2-1, 3 IP, 3 H, 1 R)
suffered the loss, following Logan Lee (7 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 4 BB, 4
K). J.T. Watkins went 2 for 4 for Army.
College Station Regional

Derek Odell had a two-run homer in the fourth to
put TCU ahead to stay, forcing a deciding game with Ole Miss on
Monday for the College Station Regional crown. The Horned Frogs
(39-20) trailed 1-0 before the blast by Odell (2 for 4, 2 R).
Brandon Finnegan (4-4, 7.1 IP, 6 H, 2 R, 3 BB, 7 K) earned the
victory, while Justin Scharf (1.2 IP, 2 K) recorded his fourth
save. Matt Snyder went 3 for 4 with one RBI for the Rebels
(37-25).
Stefan Crichton went the distance as TCU
eliminated Texas A&M. Crichton (9-2) allowed six hits and two
runs with one walk and four strikeouts for the Horned Frogs
(38-20). TCU scored in each of the first five innings, including
three in the fourth and fifth. Kevin Cron (2 for 5, 2 R, 2 RBI)
and Derek Odell (2 for 5, 2 R) both homered, while Kyle Von
Tungeln was 3 for 4 with a triple, one run and two RBI for the
Frogs. Tyler Naquin had a two-run double in the third for the
Aggies (43-18).
Gary Regional - #3 Kent State wins

Corey Littrell fanned seven in 7.1 innings as
Kentucky eliminated Purdue. Littrell
(9-2) allowed seven hits, two walks and three runs. Alex
Phillips recorded the final five outs, including a pair of
punchouts, to record his eighth save. The Boilermakers (45-14)
scored twice in the first before UK took the lead for good with
four in the fourth. Thomas McCarthy went 3 for 5 with two runs
and one RBI, while Cameron Flynn drove in two for the Wildcats
(45-17).
Kevin Plawecki went 1 for 4 with a triple, one run and one RBI
for Purdue.
Raleigh Regional
#1 NC State 6, #2 Vanderbilt 5

Matt Bergquist singled to left to score Brett
Austin with the game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth
inning as top-seeded NC State forced a winner-take-all game with
second-seeded Vanderbilt for the Raleigh Regional title.
Bergquist finished 2 for 3 with a double and run – and went 5
for 8 with a homer and seven RBI in two games Sunday – and Trea
Turner had a two-run homer and Ryan Matthews a solo shot for the
Wolfpack (42-18). Anthony Tszamtzis tossed 6.2 innings with five
strikeouts and four earned runs, and reliever Ryan Wilkins (4-2)
posted the win with two scoreless innings. Mike Yastrzemski and
Anthony Gomez each had two RBI for the Commodores – each had a
RBI as Vandy tied the game at 5 with two runs in the seventh.
The teams will meet Monday night at 7 with a Super Regional
berth on the line.
In the earlier game, Matt Bergquist and Andrew
Ciercin combined to drive in 10 as NC State whipped UNC
Wilmington in an elimination game. Bergquist went 3 for 5 with
three runs and six RBI. He had a two-run double in the fourth, a
RBI single in the seventh and a three-run homer in the eighth.
Ciercin was 3 for 5 with two runs and four RBI, blasting a
three-run homer in the fourth and adding a run-scoring double in
the sixth. Ethan Ogburn (5-3, 8.2 IP, 9 H, 5 R, 1 BB, 7 K)
earned the victory for the Wolfpack (41-18). Matt Campbell (2
for 4, 2 R) and Andrew Cain (2 for 4) both homered for the
Seahawks (39-23).
Waco Regional
#1 Baylor 9, #2 Dallas Baptist 2

Nathan Orf went 3 for 4 with two walks and two
runs as Baylor defeated Dallas Baptist to force a
winner-take-all game on Monday for the Waco Regional. The Bears
(47-15) scored single runs in the first and second before a
four-run third pushed the lead to 6-0. Max Muncy (2 for 5), Dan
Evatt (1 for 3, 2 RBI) and Cal Towey (2 for 4, 2 R) each homered
for Baylor. Austin Stone (3-1, 5.2 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 4 BB, 3 K) took
a no-hitter into the sixth in picking up the win. Austin Elkins
and Ryan Behmanesh both doubled and scored for the Patriots
(41-18).
In the first game, Logan Vick went 4 for 5 with
three RBI as Baylor eliminated Oral Roberts. After the Golden
Eagles (38-25) got a run in the first, Vick had a two-run single
in the third to put the Bears (46-15) on top for good. Vick
drove in another on a fielder’s choice in a two-run seventh.
Josh Ludy went 2 for 5 with a double and one RBI for Baylor.
Tyler Bremer (7-1, 6 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 1 BB, 5 K) earned the win,
while Crayton Bare (2.1 IP, 1 H, 1 BB, 2 K) registered his
second save. Jose Trevino had two hits and one RBI for ORU.
