Final Roster Set for Team USA

The USA Baseball Collegiate National Team announced its finalized 22-man roster.

There are two players from NC State, Oregon, Oregon State and UCLA, while 14 other schools have one representative each.

Led by Tennessee head coach Dave Serrano (left), the team will play five games against Cuba in Latin American Stadium from July 5-9.

Team USA will then head to the Netherlands for Honkball Week in Haarlem from July 13-22, joining Cuba, Japan, the Netherlands, Puerto Rico and Chinese Taipei in the tournament.

The squad recently earned victories over the Fayetteville Swampdogs, Wilmington Sharks and Morehead City Marlins of the Coastal Plain League and Catawba Stars of the Virginia Collegiate League.

Serrano is assisted by George Horton of Oregon, Jason Gill of Loyola Marymount and Andy Stankiewicz of Grand Canyon.
