Wake Forest in the Dominican
Republic
Head
coach Tom Walter (left) and the Wake Forest baseball team will
spend a week in the Dominican Republic, playing seven games
against local competition and providing community service. CBI

Day 7
Wake Forest concluded its Dominican Republic trip
by hosting a youth baseball clinic in Boca Chica on Saturday
morning.
Day 6
The Demon Deacons split a pair of games on Friday
against the National Air Force Team. WFU took the opener 4-3 in
10 innings before falling in the nightcap 6-2.
Day 5
Wake Forest had no games on Thursday, but trained
on the beach, took an excursion to Isla Saona and visited a
boy’s home in San Pedro de Macoris.
Day 4
The Demon Deacons split a doubleheader on
Wednesday, falling to the Royals 5-2 before blanking the
National Army Team 2-0.
Day 3
The Demon Deacons tied the National Navy Team, La
Marina de Guerra, 7-7 after nine innings. The team visited
Guajabo, a small sugar cane village. They helped paint a house
and delivered hygiene packets.

Day 2
Wake Forest has a pair of games on Monday, Dec.
17. The Demon Deacons fell to Escogido 2-0 in the first game
before defeating the National Police Team 6-4 in the second
contest.

Day 1
WFU arrived in the Dominican Republic on Sunday
afternoon, Dec. 16. The Demon Deacons went immediately to a
practice field in Boca Chica.
