Arizona State picked to win Pac-10 title
Arizona State is the favorite to win the Pac-10
championship, in voting by the league’s head coaches and
released by the conference office.
The Sun Devils received seven first-place votes
and 78 points. ASU has won the past three Pac-10 titles. The Sun
Devils made their 10th straight trip to the NCAA Tournament last
season and their 21st appearance in the College World Series.
Oregon State received two first-place votes and
67 points to finish second. UCLA was two points back in third.
Stanford came in fourth with 59 points, followed by Arizona,
Washington State, California, USC, Washington and Oregon.
The season begins on Friday, Feb. 19. The Pac-10
conference series start on March 25, when Cal visits Arizona
State.
