CBI College World Series Predictions

Sean

I'm putting a lot of faith in Oregon by taking them to the College World Series (if not them, Florida State heads to Omaha). It's a flip of the coin between UCLA and Cal State Fullerton, and I lean Fullerton assuming Gary Brown is in the lineup. I have Coastal Carolina reaching Omaha for the first time, although the Chants not only have a tough regional, but also a challenge in either Virginia Tech or South Carolina. In the end, I'm looking for Virginia to return to Omaha and use the experience of last year to help it advance to the final, where the Cavaliers will meet Texas, which I think will roll through Regionals before getting tormented by TCU. Cavaliers over Longhorns in three games for the national title.

Phil

I look for Clemson and Florida State to win on the road in the Super Regionals. Texas and UCLA will have great pitching in their side of the bracket in Omaha, with the Longhorns having a slight edge with CWS experience. Virginia and Arizona State will fight through their bracket, with the Cavaliers prevailing. Texas outlasts Virginia in three games to take the finale at Rosenblatt.
