Today was the first since June 2, 1980, that
three games were played in the College World Series in one day.

This game was the third in the first five of the
2010 CWS in which both teams scored in the first inning.

The Seminoles beat the Gators for the fourth time
in five games this season. FSU has won eight of the past 11
meetings with UF.

Florida State ended a four-game CWS losing
streak. It was the first win for the Seminoles in Omaha since
June 14, 2000, when FSU topped USC 3-2.

This was the fourth meeting in Omaha between
Florida and Florida State and the first win for the Seminoles.
The Gators won once in 1991 and twice in 1996.

Florida fell to 8-13 in CWS games. The Gators
went 0-2 for the second time in Omaha.

The SEC is 0-3 so far in the College World
Series. South Carolina lost its Omaha opener against Oklahoma on
Sunday.
