Bradley headlines Team USA Trials roster

College World Series Most Outstanding Player Jackie Bradley Jr. (right) of South Carolina headlines a group of 39 players who were named to the 2010 Collegiate National Team Trials roster.

The trials will be held July 6-11 at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, N.C.

Sophomores Gerrit Cole of UCLA, Sonny Gray of Vanderbilt, Brad Miller of Clemson and Kolten Wong of Hawaii return from the 2009 Collegiate National Team, attempting to join Team USA for a second consecutive year.

Following the trials and training in Cary, Team USA will play a five-game series against Korea before meeting a Japanese Collegiate All-Star Team on July 21 in Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha. The squad will travel to Taipei, Taiwan, for a four-game series against Chinese Taipei at Tien-Mu Stadium starting on July 25.

The team will conclude its summer at the FISU Work University Championships in Tokyo, Japan, From July 30-Aug. 7. The U.S. has won the past three FISU Worlds (2004, ‘06, ‘08).
