Rice at East Carolina Tops
Weekend Slate
For this Easter Weekend, the top series is in
Conference USA.
First-place East Carolina (8-1, 25-7) entertains
second-place Rice (7-2, 23-7) in the top set of the weekend.
The ACC has three key series as North Carolina
(9-5, 26-7) visits Florida State (7-6, 19-10), Miami (Fla.)
heads to Clemson (9-6, 21-11) and Virginia (8-5, 27-6) goes to
Georgia Tech (9-4, 20-7). In the SEC, LSU (8-4, 24-8) travels to
Alabama (6-6, 21-10). The top four teams in the Southern
Conference tangle as fourth-place Coastal Carolina (10-5, 21-9)
visits leader Elon (11-4, 17-11), while second-place Western
Carolina (8-3, 19-10) entertains third-place Georgia Southern
(7-3, 22-8). In the Big South, Radford (7-3, 14-11) heads to
Coastal Carolina (6-2, 26-7). In a Sun Belt battle, first-place
Middle Tennessee (11-4, 22-7) welcomes third-place FIU (8-4,
19-10). In the SWAC, Southern (13-2, 17-9) plays at Jackson
State (9-5, 23-11).
In the Pac-10, first-place Arizona State (8-1,
23-7) plays host to Washington State (4-2, 14-13). In the West
Coast Conference, first-place San Diego (6-1, 22-12) travels to
third-place Gonzaga (5-2, 22-9).
The big bout in the Big 12 features Texas A&M
(7-5, 20-12) at Kansas State (5-4, 24-8). In the Big Ten,
first-place Illinois (4-2, 19-7) travels to Michigan (3-3,
18-11). In the Southland, leader Texas State (11-5, 21-10)
entertains second-place Southeastern Louisiana (10-6, 20-11). In
the Ohio Valley, Southeast Missouri (8-1, 18-11) goes to Murray
State (1-4, 18-12).
In the Big East, leader West Virginia (9-1, 24-6)
welcomes St. John’s (7-3, 18-11). In the Ivy League, the top two
teams in the Red Rolfe Division meet as Dartmouth (8-0, 11-9)
plays host to Brown (7-1, 10-10). In the CAA, Towson (3-3,
15-14) travels to first-place George Mason (7-2, 26-5). In the
A-10, No. 1 Temple (8-1, 13-15) plays Saint Joseph’s (5-4,
11-16). In America East, preseason favorite Binghamton (2-0,
9-12) heads to first-place Albany (4-0, 11-16). In the NEC, two
teams tied for first tangle as Monmouth (4-2, 15-14) goes to
Fairleigh Dickinson (4-2, 9-15).
