The ACC Player of the Year Buster Posey can do it all for the
Seminoles as the pitcher/cather with a .467 average and 19 home
runs to go along with his six saves on the hill. He also became
only the fourth Seminole in the Mike Martin era to play all nine
positions during a game as he lined up in every postion in FSU’s
May 12th defeat of Savannah State, marking the first
time since 1994 that a Seminole had accomplished that feat.
Freshman Tyler Holt, who has appeared in 58 games for FSU, ranks
among the nation’s leaders in walks and on-base percentage and
even more impressive has reached base in 55 of his 58 career
games for the Seminoles.

had an incredible Patriot League Tournament. He registered wins
in relief in all four victories, two in the semifinal series at
Army and two in the championship series at Navy. And he scored
the winning run in the ninth in each of the two wins against the
Midshipmen. Gene Depew was the defensive line coach for the
Bucknell football team from 1972-92. He became an assistant
baseball coach in 1974 and took over as head coach in 1981.
Pitcher Will Carney is also the starting placekicker for the
Bucknell football team. Major League Hall-of-Famer Christy
Mathewson is an alumnus of Bucknell.
