tournament. Corey Kemp is a semifinalist for the Golden Spikes
award, the Dick Howser award and the Johnny Bench Award. Four
Pirates posted double figure home run totals. Entering the
conference tournament, East Carolina's offense ranked 18th in
the country with 450 runs. ECU downed C-USA top dog Rice in the
tournament, but lost two games by one run to Houston.

leads his team to the NCAA regionals for the 14th time in 18
years at Alabama. Ross Wilson is the younger brother of Tide
quarterback John Parker Wilson. Josh Rutledge led the SEC in
hits as a freshman. Alabama did not lose a home series in SEC
play this year.
