Time to Step Up
With three conference series remaining in the regular season, it is time to
really step up our play if we hope to maintain our lead in the conference and
win a title.
We dropped two out of three at Nebraska last weekend, which was disappointing.
It was a great place to play with a great atmosphere; the Saturday and Sunday
games both were excellent baseball. Although it was disappointing to lose the
series, we did leave with our conference lead still in tact.
We got back on track Tuesday night at home, winning a midweek game against
Texas-Arlington, a team that had our number this season until Tuesday.
With Texas Tech coming to town this weekend, we need to refocus as every game is
big from here out. School is coming to a close, and everyone is getting
rejuvenated and excited about the possibility of post-season. We need to play
these three games as well as possible.
Then, we take next weekend off to study for finals. I look forward to a good
display from out team in our first home series in a while.
