Baylor Tries to Stay Hot
We opened
conference as best as we could have hoped with a sweep of top-ranked Texas last
weekend. It was a great series all around: great atmosphere, great baseball and
three wins.
We played as
consistently as we have played all year. Our pitching and defense was
outstanding, and we hit very well with men on base and in scoring position.
It’s great to win a
series like that against a rival and the nation's top-ranked team, but we have
to remember that it is only one step in a long conference season.
We need to maintain
that level of play as we head to Stillwater this weekend to face Oklahoma State.
They are playing
well so far this year, and won their first conference series as well. This is
Step 2 towards our goal of a conference championship: our first conference
series on the road.
