We had a great road trip this past weekend as all phases of our game came together for a sweep of then-No. 8 Vanderbilt on the road. We won two games in our last at-bat, including one in extra innings.

This was a huge challenge on the road.

It was great to see our team come together like that as we head into conference play this weekend. We won another extra-inning game Tuesday night at home against a good TCU team to keep the momentum going.

The second season starts this weekend with our first conference series. We head to Austin to face Texas on Friday and play games two and three at home Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

This is what our tough preseason schedule was supposed to prepare us for, so it is time for all of us to play like we are capable of playing. Getting a chance to play a series with the nation's top-ranked team is an opportunity we look forward to, and we feel like we are ready for the challenge.
