The Roller Coaster that is
College Baseball
It’s early in the season, but we already have experienced a little bit of the
roller-coaster ride that the college baseball season can be. After opening the
season with three excellent wins over Houston, Tennessee and Rice at Minute
Maid, we dropped our mid-week game in disappointing fashion to Texas-Arlington
at home Tuesday.
If we are to achieve the goals we have set this season, we must maintain a
more consistent level of play. We get our first shot at getting back on track
this weekend with Oral Roberts at home. They have a solid team, and we will have
to play three quality games to win this weekend.
It’s been a long off-season and everyone is glad to be getting started with
the season.
We have some great trips this year (Vanderbilt, Arizona State) and just
finished a good one at the Minute Maid College Classic in Houston. We have a
challenging and exciting schedule ahead of us but the right group of guys to
handle it.
