Louisville and defending national champion Vanderbilt tied for first in the preseason CBI Composite Poll.

The Cardinals were first in the Collegiate Baseball, D1Baseball.com and Perfect Game polls. They were second in the other three rankings.

The Commodores were No. 1 in the Baseball America, NCBWA and USA Today polls. They were second in the other three polls.

Texas Tech was third, Miami (Fla.) was fourth and Georgia was fifth.

National runner-up Michigan checked in at No. 12.

There are seven teams from both the ACC and the SEC in the composite poll. There are three from the Pac-12, two from the Big 12 and one from the Big Ten.
