Texas State head coach Steven Trout announced the addition of Josh Blakley (pictured above, photo courtesy of TSU athletic communications) to his staff as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. He held the same position this past season at UTRGV. Blakley was a volunteer assistant with the Bobcats in 2018.

East Carolina skipper Cliff Godwin has brought in Jason Dietrich to be the pitching coach for the Pirates. Dietrich worked at UC Irvine from 2008-12, Cal State Fullerton from 2013-16 and Oregon for the past three seasons.

Pitt head coach Mike Bell has hired John Sansone as assistant coach and camp coordinator. Sansone was an All-American at Florida State and spent the past three years playing in the Cincinnati Reds minor league system. He was drafted in the eighth round by the Reds in 2016 and reached Triple-A in 2018. Sansone is a native of New Castle, Pa.

Rutgers head coach Steve Owens named Brandan Cogswell as an assistant coach. For the past two years, Cogswell was director of player personnel and undergraduate coach at Virginia, his alma mater. He was drafted in the seventh round of the 2014 MLB Draft by the Oakland A’s and climbed as high as Double-A.

Ohio State head coach Greg Beals announced that Kirby Pellant has been named volunteer assistant coach. He was OSU’s quality control coordinator in 2019. Pellant played two seasons for the Buckeyes from 2012-13 and was All-Big Ten First Team in 2013.

Liberty skipper Scott Jackson added Matt Williams to his staff as pitching coach. During the past year, Williams was pitching coach for the Fort Wayne TinCaps, the Class A affiliate of the San Diego Padres. He was pitching coach at UNCW from 2014-18.

Texas A&M head coach Rob Childress announced that Will Fox will be director of player personnel and video coordinator for the Aggies. Fox played and coached at McNeese, helping the Cowboys win the 2019 Southland Conference Tournament title.

Southern Miss head coach Scott Berry has added Ladd Rhodes as an assistant coach. For the past three seasons, Rhodes was hitting instructor and outfield coach at Jones College.

Kyle Hawthorne will be inducted into the Texas A&M Athletics Hall of Fame. He helped the Aggies win Southwestern Conference titles in 1977 and 1978. After playing in the Baltimore Orioles organization, finished his degree in political science from Texas A&M in 1979 and earned his J.D. from South Texas College in 1986. Hawthorne is a judge on the 85th District Court of the State of Texas.
