Bellarmine University has announced its plan to move up to Division I in 2020 and will become a member of the ASUN Conference.

A Catholic university located in Louisville, Ky., Bellarmine has 17 sports sponsored by the ASUN, including baseball. The Knights were 34-21 this past season, including 20-13 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC).

Bellarmine was founded in 1950 and offers more than 60 majors with an undergraduate and graduate enrollment of nearly 3,500.

The ASUN will now have 10 baseball programs. Bellarmine will join FGCU, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Liberty, Lipscomb, NJIT, North Alabama, North Florida and Stetson.
