No. 2 Florida advances to College World Series

Hurston Waldrep struck out 13 in eight scoreless innings as UF swept its Super Regional series against USC. Waldrep (9-3) did not walk a batter and allowed three hits. Halter had a two-run double in the second for the Gators (50-15). J Rivera had a run-scoring single in the fifth and Halter added a sacrifice fly in the eighth for UF. The Gators have won nine of its 11 Super Regional series, including eight straight. UF will make its 13th trip to the College World Series and first since 2018. Will McGillis, Braylen Wimmer and Ethan Petry each had a hit for the Gamecocks (42-21).

Fort Worth Super Regional
TCU 6, No. 14 Indiana State 4 (ISU eliminated)
TCU advances to College World Series

Anthony Silva had an RBI single to snap a 2-2 tie in a five-run fourth as TCU edged ISU to sweep the Super Regional series. Cole Fintenelle went 3 for 4 with a double, a homer, two runs and one RBI for the Horned Frogs (38-22), who will make their sixth trip to the College World Series. Miguel Rivera went 3 for 4 with a double, one run and two RBI for the Sycamores (45-17).

Eugene Super Regional
Oral Roberts 8, Oregon 7 (series tied 1-1)

Justin Quinn (3 for 5) delivered a two-run single in the bottom of the ninth as ORU rallied past UO to even their series at 1-1. Jacob Walsh homered in the second for the Ducks (41-21) to start the scoring before Drew Stahl (2 for 3) had a two-run single in the bottom of the second and Blaze Brothers (2 for 4) added a run-scoring base hit later in the frame to give the Golden Eagles (50-12) a 3-1 edge. Sabin Ceballos (2 for 3, 2 R, 3 RBI) had a two-run homer in the fourth to level the score at 3-3 before ORU went up one in the bottom of the fourth on a double play. Drew Cowley and Ceballos drove in runs in the fifth as UO reclaimed the lead at 5-4. A two-run triple by Drew Smith (2 for 5) in the seventh gave the Ducks a 7-4 advantage. Jake McMurray had an RBI double in the seventh and Jonah Cox homered in the eighth to extend his hitting streak to 46 games as the Eagles pulled within one before their ninth-inning rally.

Baton Rouge Super Regional
No. 5 LSU 14, No. 12 Kentucky 0 (LSU leads series 1-0)

Following a seven-hour weather delay, Tommy White and Tre’ Morgan both homered twice and knocked in three as LSU thumped UK to kick off their Super Regional series. Morgan went 4 for 5 with three runs, while White was 3 for 5 and scored three times. Jordan Thompson went 2 for 4 with three RBI. Paul Skenes (12-2) allowed four hits and one walk in 7.2 innings with nine strikeouts for the Tigers (47-15). Nolan McCarthy went 1 for 3 with a double for the Wildcats (40-20).

Winston-Salem Super Regional
No. 1 Wake Forest 5, No. 16 Alabama 4 (WFU leads series 1-0)

Rhett Lowder and Sean Sullivan combined for 13 strikeouts as WFU edged UA in Game 1 of their Super Regional series. Lowder (15-0) allowed five hits and three runs in 6.1 innings with one walk and six strikeouts in earning the win. Sullivan pitched the final 2.2 innings with two hits, one run and seven strikeouts to record his third save. Tommy Hawke (2 for 4) had a leadoff homer in the first as the Demon Deacons (51-10) took the early lead. An inning later, Justin Johnson homered and Pierce Bennett singled and scored on a wild pitch as WFU went up 3-0. Caden Rose (2 for 3, 2 R, 2 RBI) went deep in the third and Colby Shelton (2 for 4) smacked a two-run dinger in the fourth as the Crimson Tide (43-20) tied it at 3-3. After his at-bat continued on an appealed check swing, Danny Corona homered in the fifth to give the Deacons a 4-3 edge. Adam Cecere added an RBI single in the sixth to extend the lead to 5-3. Rose had a leadoff homer in the eighth to pull UA within one. Sullivan struck out the side in the ninth to secure the victory.

Stanford Super Regional
Texas 7, No. 8 Stanford 5 (UT leads series 1-0)

Trailing 5-2 in the ninth, Texas took advantage of four walks, a hit batter and a two-run error, and Porter Brown broke a 5-5 tie with a two-run single as the Longhorns scored five in the final frame to stun Stanford in Game 1 of their Super Regional. The rally started with two walks sandwiching a hit batter to load the bases. Mitchell Daly lifted a fly ball to the right-center gap, where a miscommunication appeared to result in a dropped ball to allow two runs to score. Jared Thomas had a RBI groundout to tie the game before Brown delivered a two-run single. Eric Kennedy had two hits, including a homer, and two RBI for the Longhorns (39-20). Malcolm Moore went 2 for 4 with a homer and four RBI for the Cardinal (40-17).

Hattiesburg Super Regional
