Devin Ortiz pitched four scoreless innings and hit a game-winning homer in the bottom of the 10th as UVA edged ODU to capture the final spot in the Super Regionals. Ortiz started on the mound and allowed one hit and two walks with six strikeouts. The Monarchs (44-16) broke a scoreless tie with a run in the top of the sixth. The Cavs (33-24) took their first lead with a pair in the seventh. ODU put up two in the top of the eighth to go up 3-2 before UVA tied it with a run in the bottom of the frame. Stephen Schoch (4-1, 3.1 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 5 K) earned the win. Brock Gagliardi had two hits and two RBI for the Monarchs.
