Raleigh Regional

#2 Auburn 13, #3 Northeastern 4

Tyler Giovinco allowed seven hits and one earned run over 6.1 innings, and Anthony Giachin scored twice and drove in a run as Army knocked off NC State. Sam Messina and Cam Opp combined for 2.2 scoreless innings to preserve the win for the Black Knights, who got RBI from five different batters. Jacob Hurtubise (pictured) went 1 for 3 with two runs for Army. Evan Edwards went 3 for 4 with a run, and Will Wilson went 3 for 4 for the Wolfpack – the rest the lineup went 3 for 25.

Edouard Julien went 3 for 4 with a three-run homer in the first as Auburn downed NU. Steven Williams went 4 for 4 with a double, a homer, four runs and four RBI for the Tigers. Charlie McConnell went 3 for 5 with a double, a homer and two runs for the Huskies.

Tallahassee Regional

#4 Samford 7, #1 Florida State 6

#3 Oklahoma 20, #2 Mississippi State 10

Brooks Carlson went 2 for 5 with a homer and two RBI, and Austin Edens went 3 for 4 with an RBI as Samford upended Florida State. The Bulldogs scored twice in the third, once in the fourth and three times in the fifth to build a 6-1 lead, but the Seminoles, behind a pair of RBI from Mike Salvatore, scored four in the bottom of the fifth to make it 6-5. Wyatt Burns was terrific in relief for Samford, working 3.2 innings with one hit and one run. Five Seminoles pitchers combined for 11 strikeouts.

Brandon Zaragoza went 4 for 7 with three runs and four RBI, and Blake Brewster and Kyle Mendenhall each went 3 for 5 with three runs and three RBI as Oklahoma rattled out 22 hits in beating Mississippi State. The Sooners jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the second inning, but the Bulldogs led 9-7 after two-run homers from Rowdey Jordan (3 for 5) and Elijah MacNamee (3 for 5, 3 RBI) in the fourth. Oklahoma put the game away with nine runs in the seventh. Dustin Skelton went 2 for 4 with a homer and four RBI for MSU.

Athens Regional

#3 Troy 6, #2 Duke 0

#1 Georgia vs. #4 Campbell ppd.

Corey Childress tossed six scoreless innings with three hits and nine strikeouts, and Joey Denison went 2 for 4 with a double and four RBI as Troy surprised Duke. Matt Snaders contributed three hits and two runs, and Manning Early added two hits and two runs for the Trojans, who scored four runs in the third. Zack Kone, Joey Loperfido and Kennie Taylor each had two hits for the Blue Devils, but the rest the offense went 1 for 22.

Georgia’s game with Campbell was postponed due to inclement weather. It is scheduled to be played on Saturday at noon.

Austin Regional

#3 Texas A&M 10, #2 Indiana 3

#1 Texas 10, #4 Texas Southern 0

Will Frizzell had a two-run double, and Zach DeLoach added a three-run double as part of a seven-run fourth inning as Texas A&M coasted past Indiana. Logan Foster went 3 for 5 with two RBI, and George Janca contributed two RBI and Michael Helman two hits and two runs for the Aggies. John Doxakis was masterful, striking out 12 and allowing one hit and one unearned run in six innings for A&M. Luke Miller went 2 for 4 with two hits and two RBI for the Hoosiers.

Chase Shugart and Matteo Bocchi combined on a five-hit shutout with no walks and 11 strikeouts as UT blanked TSU. Shugart allowed four hits in six innings with five strikeouts, while Bocchi worked the final three frames with one hit and six punchouts. DJ Petrinsky went 2 for 3 with a homer, two walks, two runs and four RBI to lead the Longhorn offense. Ricky Urbano went 1 for 3 for the Tigers.

Chapel Hill Regional

#1 North Carolina 11, #4 North Carolina A&T 0

#3 Houston 9, #2 Purdue 1

Cooper Criswell fanned six in six scoreless innings as UNC blanked NCA&T. Criswell allowed three hits and did not walk a batter. Michael Busch doubled, homered and knocked in five for the Tar Heels. Greg White had two hits for the Aggies.

Lael Lockhart went 2 for 3 with a  homer, three runs and three RBI, and Aaron Fletcher tossed a complete game as Houston rolled past Purdue. Joe Davis added three hits and two RBI, and Jared Triolo contributed three hits, two runs and an RBI and Tyler Bielamowicz three hits, a run and an RBI for the Cougars. Fletcher yielded only four hits and one unearned run. Harry Shipley drove in the lone run for the Boilermakers.

Clemson Regional

#2 Vanderbilt 2, #3 St. John’s 0

#1 Clemson 4, #4 Morehead State 3 (10)

Drake Fellows tossed seven scoreless innings of three-hit ball with eight strikeouts, and Philip Clarke ad Jayson Gonzalez each went 2 for 3 with an RBI as Vanderbilt edged St. John’s. Clarke doubled down the left-field line in the first to score Austin Martin, but Connor Kaiser was thrown at the plate on a relay throw from second baseman Josh Shaw. Gonzalez hit a solo homer to expand the lead to 2-0 in the fifth. Sean Mooney, who was roughed up by the Commodores last year in the Clemson Regional, threw well, allowing five hits and two earned runs in 5.2 innings.

Jordan Greene delivered an RBI single with one away in the bottom of the 10th as Clemson edged Morehead State. Drew Wharton (2 for 4, 2 R) singled to lead off the 10th and was sacrificed to second by Patrick Cromwell before scoring on Greene’s base hit. Seth Beer homered for the Tigers. Niko Hulsizer had two hits, including a triple, and a run for the Eagles.

Conway Regional

#3 Washington 7, #2 UConn 1

#1 Coastal Carolina 16, #4 LIU Brooklyn 1

Joe DeMers allowed one earned run and struck out six in eight brilliant innings, and Washington used a five-run eighth inning to pull away from Connecticut. Levi Jordan went 3 for 5 with a double, triple, two runs and an RBI, and AJ Graffanino contributed three hits and two RBI for the Huskies. Joe Wainhouse added a solo homer and two runs. Mason Feole tossed seven solid innings with two earned runs and six strikeouts for UConn.

Kieton Rivers went 2 for 4 with a homer and five RBI, and Kyle Skeels hit a pinch-hit, three-run homer as Coastal Carolina had no problems with LIU Brooklyn. Cory Wood added two hits, two runs and two RBI, and Seth Lancaster homered and drove in two for the Chanticleers. Anthony Veneziano was the beneficiary of the outburst, throwing seven shutout innings with three hits and six strikeouts. Brock Hallum drove in the lone run for the Blackbirds.

Corvallis Regional

#2 LSU 6, #3 San Diego State 4

#1 Oregon State 9, #4 Northwestern State 3

Nick Coomes went 3 for 4 with two runs as LSU scored three in the second and three in the sixth to top San Diego State. Zach Watson and Antoine Duplantis each had two hits and a run, and Jake Slaughter went 1 for 1 with two runs, two walks and an RBI for the Tigers. Nick Bush allowed three runs over five innings before Devin Fontenot (3 IP, 4 K, 1 ER) and Tod Peterson limited the Aztecs. Jacob Maekawa drove in a pair of runs for San Diego State.

Nick Madrigal had three hits and four RBI to lead OSU past NSU. Jack Anderson had two hits and two runs, while Kyle Nobach belted a two-run homer in the fourth for the Beavers. Bryce Fehmel (7.2 IP, 6 H, 3 R, 2 ER, BB) fanned nine in earning the victory. Lenni Kunert (3 for 3) and Sam Taylor both went deep for the Demons.

DeLand Regional

#3 Oklahoma State 9, #2 USF 2

#1 Stetson 8, #4 Hartford 3

Jon Littell went 2 for 4 with two runs and two RBI as OSU defeated USF. The Cowboys expanded a 2-1 lead with three in the sixth and added four more in the ninth. Christian Funk (1 for 3, 2 RBI) and Carson McCusker both homered for the victors. Carson Teel (6 IP, 5 H, R, 4 BB, 3 K) earned the win in relief. Chris Chatfield went deep for the Bulls.

Joey Gonzalez worked six innings with two runs (one unearned) and five strikeouts, and Brooks Wilson had two hits and three RBI as Stetson scored seven runs in its final three at-bats to escape Hartford. The Hawks, behind Nicholas Dombkowski, led 2-1 before the Hatters scored two in the sixth, two in the seventh and three in the eighth. Mitchell Singer closed the final three innings for Stetson. Ashton Bardzell went 3 for 4 with a run and an RBI for the Hawks.

Fayetteville Regional

#1 Arkansas 10, #4 Oral Roberts 2

#2 Southern Miss 9, #3 DBU 0

Heston Kjerstad went 3 for 4 with two homers and four RBI as Arkansas downed Oral Roberts. Carson Shaddy and Jax Biggers (2 for 4, 2 R, 2 RBI) also went deep for the Razorbacks. Blaine Knight allowed three hits and two runs in eight innings with one walk and two strikeouts in recording the win. Riley Keizor had a pair of dingers for the Golden Eagles.

Nick Sandlin did what he’s done all year, tossing seven scoreless innings with four hits and 10 strikeouts, and Cole Donaldson went 3 for 3 with a homer, two runs and five RBI as Southern Miss blanked Dallas Baptist. Hunter Slater went 3 for 4 with a solo homer and three runs, and Daniel Keating added two hits and two runs for the Golden Eagles. Devlin Granberg had three of the Patriots’ five hits.

Gainesville Regional

#1 Florida 13, #4 Columbia 5

#2 Jacksonville 5, #3 FAU 3

Will Dalton went 4 for 6 with a homer and six RBI, and Jonathan India added two hits, two runs and two RBI as Florida overcame an early 3-1 deficit to beat Columbia. Jordan Butler was splendid in relief for the Gators with five innings, two hits, one earned run and five strikeouts. Florida took control with a six-run fourth inning for a 8-3 lead. Liam McGill went 3 for 5 with an RBI, and Joe Engel scored twice for the Lions.

Sam Armstrong went 2 for 4 with a homer and three RBI, and Chris Gau worked 6.1 innings with two earned runs as Jacksonville slipped past FAU. Cory Garrastazu added two hits, including a solo homer, and John Cassala contributed two hits and a run for the Dolphins. Cody Wilson homered and drove in a pair of runs for the Owls.

Greenville Regional

#2 South Carolina 8, #3 Ohio State 3

#1 East Carolina 16, #4 UNCW 7

Danny Blair hit a pinch-hit, three-run homer to spark a five-run seventh inning as South Carolina erupted for eight runs in its final two at-bats to beat Ohio State. Justin Row added three hits and two RBI, and Carlos Cortes went 3 for 5 with two runs and an RBI for the Gamecocks. Connor Curtis worked six scoreless innings with four hits and four strikeouts before giving way to Buckeyes closer Seth Kinker, who entered with a 1.49 ERA and was touched for five earned runs. Dillon Dingler went 2 for 5 with a homer and two RBI for Ohio State.

Connor Litton went 3 for 4 with a homer, two runs and four RBI, and Drew Henrickson added three RBI as East Carolina scored runs in bunches in each of the first five innings and toppled UNC Wilmington. Jake Washer had three hits and three runs with an RBI, and Bryant Packard contributed three hits and two runs for the Pirates. Kep Brown went 3 for 5 with a homer, two runs and three RBI, and Ryan Jeffers added two hits and three RBI for the Seahawks.

Lubbock Regional

#1 Texas Tech 9, #4 New Mexico State 2

Michael Davis went 2 for 3 with a double and three RBI as TTU defeated NMSU. Zach Rheams had a two-run homer to cap a three-run first for the Red Raiders. Ryan Shetter (5 IP, 3 H, R, BB, 5 K) earned the win in relief. Joey Ortiz went deep for the Aggies.

Logan Wyatt went 2 for 4 with two homers and seven RBI, and Jake Snider added three hits, two runs and two RBI as Louisville scored 10 runs in the first two innings in a win over Kent State. The Cardinals roughed up Joey Murray, who entered with a 1.71 ERA, knocking him out in the second with eight earned runs on his ledger. Adam Wolf tossed seven innings for Louisville, but was knocked around to the tune of six earned runs. Pete Schuler went 3 for 5 with a homer, two runs and four RBI for the Golden Flashes.

Minneapolis Regional

#2 UCLA 6. #3 Gonzaga 5

#1 Minnesota 10, #4 Canisius 1

Michael Toglia hit an RBI ground-rule double to tie the game, and Jake Pries drove in the game-winner with a sacrifice fly as UCLA rallied for four runs in the bottom of the ninth to stun Gonzaga. Daniel Bies had handcuffed the Bruins to the tune of five hits, two earned runs and nine strikeouts in 7.2 innings. But UCLA rallied off Casey Legumina, with Kevin Kendall and Chase Strumpf (3 for 5, 2 R) also driving in runs in the rally. Branson Trube went 2 for 2 with three runs and an RBI for the Bulldogs.

Terrin Vavra went 3 for 5 with three RBI, and Reggie Meyer worked eight strong innings with five hits, one run and six strikeouts as Minnesota had an easy time with Canisius. Toby Hanson added three hits, two runs and an RBI for the Golden Gophers. John Conti went 2 for 4 with a run for the Griffs.

Oxford Regional

Stanford Regional

#3 Cal State Fullerton 6, #2 Baylor 2

#1 Stanford 4, #4 Wright State 3 (13)

Colton Eastman allowed one earned run in seven innings with eight strikeouts as Fullerton knocked off Baylor. Eastman gave up four hits and one walk. Blake Workman hurled the final two frames with one hit, one walk and two strikeouts to preserve the victory. The Titans scored two in the second and one in the sixth for a 3-0 advantage. After the Bears put up two in the bottom of the sixth, Fullerton added insurance with three in the ninth. Brett Borgogno went 3 for 4 with a double, a run and two RBI for the TItans. Shea Langeliers had two hits for BU.

Christian Robinson had an RBI double with two away in the bottom of the 13th as Stanford outlasted WSU. Andrew Daschbach (2 for 4) was hit by a pitch to start the 13th. After not advancing through two outs, he scored on Robinson’s double to conclude play on Day 1. Tim Tawa went 3 for 6 with two doubles and one RBI for the Cardinal. Zach Weatherford went 2 for 5 with one run, while Matt Morrow had a leadoff homer in the first for the Raiders.
