Travis Watkins launched a game-winning, three-run homer as East Carolina blitzed Virginia for five runs in the bottom of the ninth of a winners’ bracket game. The Cavaliers led 6-3 behind two homers and three RBI from Pavin Smith, but the Pirates strung together five hits in the decisive ninth inning. Parker Lamm (2 for 5, 3 R) had an RBI double, and Charlie Yorgen (4 for 5) singled in another before Watkins hit a towering homer to left-center field.

In the first game, Nick Brown and two relievers combined on a four-hitter as W&M stayed alive against Bryant. Brown (5-7) gave up three hits and two runs in seven innings with three walks and three strikeouts to earn the win. Robert White (ER, 2 BB) pitched a hitless eighth before Joseph Gaouette allowed one hit in a scoreless ninth with one punchout for his 10th save. Cullen Large and Hunter Smith both had two hits and one RBI, while Ryan Hall homered for the Tribe (30-30). Robbie Rinn and Zach Wood (2 for 4) both went deep for the Bulldogs (47-23).

OSU used a five-run third to build an 8-0 lead in clobbering Clemson. J.R. Davis went 3 for 6 with two runs and one RBI for the Cowboys (38-20). Tyler Buffett (7-3, 7 IP, 7 H, R, 3 BB, 6 K) earned the win. Chase Pinder and Andrew Cox both had two hits and one RBI for the Tigers (43-19).

Earlier, three Western Carolina pitchers combined to limit Nebraska to five hits, and Kramer Ferrell went 3 for 3 with two runs and an RBI as Western Carolina eliminated Nebraska. Ferrell singled in a run and scored on a Reece Strong pinch-hit RBI single as the Catamounts scored twice in the eighth to get a little breathing room. Taylor Durand tossed four innings with two hits, six walks and an unearned run, Brandon Nail followed with three scoreless innings and B.J. Nobles closed with two scoreless frames.

College Station

Jonathan Moroney homered and drove in six as Texas A&M pounded WFU. The Aggies (47-14) scored in seven of their nine at-bats, including five in the second, six in the fifth and five in the seventh. Boomer White went 3 for 4 with a dinger, four runs and four RBI. Brigham Hill (9-1, 5 H, 2 R, 4 BB) fanned 10 in six innings in recording the victory. Nate Mondou (2 for 3) went deep for the Demon Deacons (35-26).

In the first game, Jordan Smith went 3 for 3 with a solo homer and three runs, and Terrin Vavra drove in two as Minnesota eliminated Binghamton. Ty McDevitt yielded only a hit in 3.1 innings of relief for the Golden Gophers. Eddie Posavec had a pair of RBI for Binghamton.

Columbia

Austin Magestro allowed one unearned run over the final five frames as UNCW outscored URI. Magestro gave up two hits and a walk while striking four to record his third save, giving the win to Austin Easter (3-0, 2.1 IP, 3 H, 2 R, BB, 2 K). Zack Canada (3 for 5, 2 R) and Kennard McDowell (2 for 4) both homered and drove in three for the Seahawks (41-17). Mike Corin (1 for 4, 2 R, 2 RBI) and Martin Figueroa (2 for 4, 2 R) both went deep for the Rams (31-26).

Earlier, Hunter Taylor had an RBI double in the top of the ninth to snap a 2-2 tie as South Carolina eliminated Duke. Marcus Mooney had two hits and an RBI for the Gamecocks (43-16). Tyler Johnson (2-2, 1.1 IP, H, 2 K) earned the win. Justin Bellinger (2 for 3) homered for the Blue Devils (33-24).

Carl Chester had an RBI single in the top of the 11th as Miami edged LBSU. Chester finished with three hits and two RBI for the Hurricanes (47-11). Jeff Nellis had a pinch-hit homer in the bottom of the ninth for the Dirtbags (37-21). Jarren Duran also went deep for LBSU.

In the first game, Stephen Kerr had two hits and two RBI as FAU eliminated Stetson. Tyler Frank homered, scored twice and drove in two for the Owls (39-18). Will Mackenzie had two hits and two RBI for the Hatters (29-31).

Fort Worth

Elliott Barzilli had a two-run single in the eighth to erase a 3-2 deficit as TCU nipped Gonzaga. Ryan Burnett (2-1, 1.1 IP, H, K) earned the win, while Durbin Feltman (2 IP, H, 2 K) registered his seventh save. Jeffrey Bohling belted a three-run homer in the sixth for the Bulldogs (36-20).

Earlier, Jordan Aboites pitched a complete game as ASU downed ORU. Alboites (7-2) scattered 11 hits with one walk and seven strikeouts. Brian Serven doubled and homered with two runs and three RBI for the Sun Devils (35-22). Matt Whatley and Michael Hungate both had three hits for the Golden Eagles (35-22).

Jonathan India homered in the top of the eighth to snap a 5-5 deadlock as Florida nipped UConn. India had three hits, while Peter Alonso added two hits, including a homer, and two RBI for the Gators (49-13). Bobby Melley had two hits, including a homer, for the Huskies (38-24).

Tristin English went 3 for 5 with a homer, two runs and five RBI as Georgia Tech bounced B-CU. Matt Gonzalez went 2 for 4 with two runs and two RBI for the Yellow Jackets (37-24). Nathan Bond knocked in a pair for the Wildcats (29-27).

Lafayette

Danny Rosenbaum homered twice and drove in four, and Brendan McKay tossed 5.2 scoreless innings with 10 strikeouts and also went 2 for 4 with a homer, two runs and three RBI as Louisville pounded Ohio State in a winners’ bracket game. Will Smith contributed two hits and two RBI for the Cardinals, who scored eight times in the third inning. Daulton Mosbarger went 2 for 2 with his first homer and three RBI for the Buckeyes.

In the first game, Mitch Roman and JD Orr both had two hits and two RBI ass Wright State stopped Western Michigan. Matt Morrow had two hits and two runs for the Raiders (45-16). Connor Smith had two hits and a run for the Broncos (22-34).

Texas Tech erased a 3-1 deficit with a two-run single by Ryan Long in the eighth and a homer by Stephen Smith in the ninth to rally past New Mexico. Ryan Shettter (4-2, 2 IP, H, 2 K) picked up the win, while Hayden Howard allowed a hit in the ninth with one strikeout to record his eighth save. Jared Mang had a two-run homer in the third for the Lobos (39-22).

Earlier, Darick Hall delivered two home runs as DBU (42-18) ousted Fairfield. Troy Scocca went 2 for 3 with one run and one RBI for the Stags (32-26).

Spencer Jones (6-2, 3.2 IP, 4 H, 2 BB, 4 K) earned the victory. Ethan Paul went 4 for 5 with three doubles, three runs and two RBI for the Commodores (43-19).

Earlier, Xavier scored 13 in the seventh to defeat Vandy. Rylan Bannon went 2 for 4 with two doubles, three runs and five RBI to lead the Musketeers (31-28). Zac Lowther (7-5, 7 IP, 4 H, R, 3 BB, 8 K) recorded the win. Ethan Paul went 2 for 3 with one RBI for the Commodores.

BC erased a 3-1 deficit with three in the seventh to edge Utah. Johnny Adams went 2 for 4 with a double and a run for the Eagles (33-20). John Witkowski (1 IP, H, BB, K) picked up the win, while Jesse Adams recorded the final four outs for his sixth save. Cody Scaggari and Kellen Marruffo both had two hits, one run and one RBI for the Utes (26-28).

Earlier, Jake Rogers smacked a two-run homer in the top of the ninth as Tulane eliminated host Ole Miss. Rogers had two hits and three RBI, while Hunter Williams homered twice for the Green Wave (40-20). Errol Robinson had two hits and two RBI for the Rebels (43-19).

Travis Blue had an RBI double in the top of the 13th and Sean Trent added a two-run single later in the frame as Navy sank Saint Mary’s. Trent and Leland Saile both had three hits, two runs and two RBI for the Midshipmen (43-15-1). Jackson Thoreson drove in a pair for the Gaels (33-25).

Game 2 between NC State & Coastal Carolina was suspended in the top of the ninth with the Chanticleers leading 3-0. It is scheduled to be completed at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Smith worked 2.2 hitless innings with two walks and three punchouts to notch his fifth save. Jake Mangum had two hits and one RBI for the Bulldogs (43-16-1). Josh Vargas (2 for 5) homered for the Titans (36-22).

Earlier, Cody Daigle had a grand slam to cap a six-run fourth as Louisiana Tech eliminated Southeast Missouri. Daigle finished with three hits and five RBI for the Bulldogs (41-19). Dan Holst had a three-run homer in the top of the first for the Redhawks (39-21).

In the day’s first game, four Titan pitchers combined on a two-hitter as Cal State Fullerton blanked Louisiana Tech in a game postponed from Friday. Blake Quinn (4.1 IP, 2 H, 3 BB, 3 K) was the starter, while John Gavin fanned three over 2.2 hitless innings for the Titans. Scott Serigstad (2-1) struck out two over 1.2 innings in picking up the win, while Dylan Prohoroff recorded the final out to record his third save. Fullerton tallied the game’s lone run in the eighth as Josh Vargas reached on a leadoff single and scored on a fielder’s choice by Ruben Cardenas. Cody Daigle went 1 for 2 with a walk for the Bulldogs.

Jackson Leuck (2 for 5, 2 RBI) and Steven Wells, Jr. (1 for 3, 3 RBI) both homered as FSU defeated USM. The Seminoles (39-20) scored in four of the first six innings to wipe out an early 2-0 deficit. Tyler Holton (3-3, 5.2 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 2 BB, 6 K) earned the victory, while Jim Voyles (3.1 IP, H, 2 BB, K) notched his second save. Hunter Slater had two hits and a run for the Golden Eagles (41-19).

In the first game, Randy Bell went the distance as USA eliminated ASU. Bell (7-1) surrendered seven hits and three runs while striking out eight. Danny Martinez went 3 for 3 with two RBI, while Cole Billingsley had two hits, two runs and two RBI for the Jaguars (41-21). Ray Hernandez and Eriq White both homered for the Hornets (38-17).
