In Stanford, Calif., Christian Rodriguez tossed six scoreless frames and Peyton Jones worked the final three innings for his first save as Cal State Fullerton topped No. 18 Stanford 4-0. Rodriguez (1-0) allowed three hits with three walks and a pair of strikeouts. Jones gave up one hit with two walks and four strikeouts. Moises Guzman had a two-run double and scored in the third as the Titans (1-0) built a 3-0 advantage. Matthew Bardowell added an RBI double in the sixth to make it 4-0. Jimmy Nati had a double for the Cardinal (0-1). Matt Scott (0-1) fanned nine in 5.1 innings for Stanford.
St. John’s 9, No. 3 Florida 5 (box score)
In Gainesville, Fla., St. John’s scored multiple runs in each of the first three innings in building a 7-0 lead on its way to knocking off UF. Jackson Tucker had two hits, including a homer, and scored twice, while Jimmy Keenan and Adam Agresti both doubled twice for the Red Storm (1-0). Colby Shelton had a double and a homer for the Gators (0-1).
No. 1 Wake Forest 9, Fordham 3 (box score)
In Winston-Salem, N.C., Adam Tellier went 2 for 3 with a homer and two walks to lead WFU past Fordham. The Demon Deacons (1-0) tallied one in the first, three in the second and four in the fifth in building an 8-1 advantage. Josh Hartle (1-0) worked 5.2 innings with three hits, one run, no walks and four strikeouts for WFU. Steve Luttazi had a two-run homer in the eighth for the Rams (0-1).

In Baton Rouge, La., Bingham had a two-run double to cap a five-run sixth as LSU erased a 6-5 deficit on its way to the win. Hayden Travinski went 3 for 4 with a homer, four runs and two RBI for the Tigers (1-0). Jared Jones was 2 for 4 with four RBI, including a three-run homer in the second for LSU. Cole Jenkins went 2 for 4 with a homer, two runs and two RBI for the Keydets (0-1).
No. 3 Arkansas 6, James Madison 4 (box score)
In Fayetteville, Ark., Fenwick Trimble had a three-run homer off Hagen Smith in the top of the first for JMU before Arkansas answered with a pair of runs in each of the first three innings to record the victory. Smith (1 H, 3 R, 2 BB, 2 K) exited after throwing 42 pitches in the first. Will McEntire (1-0, 5.2 IP, 3 H, R, BB, 6 K) earned the win in relief, while Gage Wood (2.1 IP, H, 4 K) recorded the save. Hudson White (1 for 3, BB) and Jared Sprague-Lott (2 for 2, 2 BB, 2 RBI) both went deep for the Razorbacks (1-0). Trimble was 3 for 4 with a dinger, two runs and three RBI for the Dukes (0-1).
