Georgia Tech 4, No. 3 UCLA 3 (11)

In Atlanta, Kyle McCann hit a game-winning homer in the bottom of the 11th inning as Georgia Tech knocked off UCLA. Tristan English tossed the last three innings, allowing two hits and no runs with two strikeouts. Luke Waddell also hit a solo homer, and Austin Wilhite added two hits and an RBI for the Jackets. Garrett Mitchell had three hits and two runs for the Bruins.

Southern Miss 1, No. 15 Mississippi State 0 (10)

In Starkville, Miss., Charlie Fischer delivered a pinch-hit RBI single to score pinch-runner Brant Blaylock in the top of the 10th inning as Southern Miss edged Mississippi State. Ethan Small allowed one hit and struck out 13 for the Bulldogs (4-1), who couldn’t figure out Walker Powell, the Golden Eagles’ starter who allowed five hits and struck out two in 7.2 innings. Ryan Och (1-0) picked up the win with 2.1 scoreless innings for Southern Miss.

Miami 5, No. 5 Florida 2

In Gainesville, Fla., Alex Toral hit a  two-run homer, and Miami scored three late runs to knock off Florida. With the game tied at 2, Michael Amditis (2 for 4, 2 R) hit a solo homer, and Freddy Zamora bunted in a run in the seventh. The Hurricanes (5-0) added a run in the eighth on Tony Jenkins’ RBI single. Evan McKendry tossed seven innings with four hits, two earned runs and nine strikeouts for Miami. Kendrick Calilao went 2 for 4 with an RBI, and Brady McConnell went 2 for 4 with a run for the Gators (3-3), who has lost three straight.

No. 1 LSU 13, Bryant 6

In Baton Rouge, La., Daniel Cabrera homered and drove in four as LSU outscored Bryant. The Tigers (5-0) scored multiple runs in five of their eight at-bats. Zack Hess (1-0, 5 IP, 4 H, R, 2 BB, 6 K) was the starter and winner. Sam Owens (2 for 5, 2 RBI) also went deep for the Bulldogs (2-2).

No. 4 Texas Tech 7, Kentucky 4

In Lubbock, Texas, Cameron Warren had a three-run double to key a six-run sixth inning as Texas Tech rallied to beat Kentucky. Braxton Fulford had two hits, a run and an RBI, and Brian Klein contributed two hits and a run for the Red Raiders (3-1). Ryan Shinn went 3 for 3 with two runs to lead the way for the Wildcats (3-1).  

No. 7 Oregon State 8, Nebraska 2

In Surprise, Ariz., Kevin Abel struck out 10 over 5.1 innings with two hits and two earned runs, and Adley Rutschmann homered and drove in three as Oregon State beat Nebraska. Alex McGarry had three hits, three runs and an RBI as the first three batters for the Beavers (5-0) had five of the team’s six hits and scored six of their eight runs. Angelo Altavilla went 2 for 3 with a run for the Huskers (3-2).  

No. 9 Florida State 4, Youngstown State 2

In Tallahassee, Fla., Drew Mendoza and Nander De Sedas each homered and drove in two to lead Florida State past Youngstown State. Drew Parrish started and worked four innings with two earned runs and seven strikeouts, and Antonio Velez followed with four scoreless innings with two hits and two strikeouts for the Seminoles (5-0). Blaze Glenn went 2 for 4 with a two-run homer in the first inning for the Penguins (0-5). Colin Clark allowed one run in 5.1 solid innings for Youngstown State.

No. 10 Louisville 7-5, Brown 0-4 (second game 10 innings, Game 1 boxGame 2 box)

In Louisville, Ky., Justin Lavey delivered a game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning as Louisville swept a doubleheader from Brown after coming one out from a no-hitter in the first game. Logan Wyatt had two hits, a run and an RBI, and Bobby Miller was fantastic in relief, allowing one hit, walking one and striking out eight for the Cardinals (4-2). Joe Lomuscio had two hits and an RBI for Brown (0-2). In the first game, Reid Detmers was brilliant, tossing seven hitless innings with one walk and 11 strikeouts. Detmers got plenty of support from Tyler Fitzgerald, who went 2 for 3 with four RBI, and Jake Snider went 4 for 4 with a run. Willy Homza broke up the no-hitter with two outs in the ninth.

No. 11 Ole Miss 6, Tulane 4

In New Orleans, Cole Zabowski hit a two-run homer, and Grae Kessinger’s solo shot gave Ole Miss the lead for good in the seventh inning of a comeback win over Tulane. Despite getting outhit 12-6, the Rebels (3-1) came back from down 4-2 thanks in large part to the relief effort of Austin Miller (1-0, 1.2 IP), Doug Nikhazy (1.1) and Parker Caracci (save, 1.2), who combined for 4.2 innings of scoreless relief with five strikeouts. Sal Gozzo and Trevor Jensen each had two hits and a run for the Green Wave (5-1).

No. 14 Baylor 17, Cornell 0

In Waco, Texas, Chase Wehsener wet 3 for 4 with five RBI, and Cole Haring and Josh Bissonette each homered and drove in two runs as Baylor coasted past Cornell. Hayden Kettler (2-0) tossed six scoreless innings with three hits, one walk and nine strikeouts for the Bears (5-0). No player had more than one hit for Cornell, which was playing its opener.

Grand Canyon 4, No. 17 TCU

In Fort Worth, Texas, Quin Cotton went 2 for 4 with a homer, two runs and two RBI as Grand Canyon slipped past TCU. Kade Mechals allowed three hits and one earned run and struck out six for the Lopes (3-2). Jake Guenther hit a solo homer for the Frogs (3-2).

Nevada 1, Long Beach State 0

In Long Beach, Calif., Jack Anderson tossed seven hitless innings with four walks and 11 strikeouts as Nevada took a no-hitter into the ninth and then held on for dear life in a win over Long Beach State. Shane Gustafson continued the no-no until Calvin Estrada singled to lead off the ninth. The 49ers (0-5) loaded the bases before Gustafson got out of the jam. Marco Valenzuela went 2 for 3 with an RBI for Nevada (4-1).  

No. 16 Arkansas 8, USC 6

In Los Angeles, Casey Martin belted a two-run homer in the fifth to put the visitors ahead for good as Arkansas won at USC for the second straight day. Martin’s blast gave the Razorbacks (5-0) a 5-4 lead. Christian Franklin added a two-run double in the sixth for Arkansas. Jack Kenley had two hits and three RBI for the Hogs. Isaiah Campbell (2-0, 5.1 IP, 6 H, 6 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 5 K) earned the victory. CJ Stubbs knocked in two for the Trojans (2-3).

No. 19 Coastal Carolina 13-12, Michigan State 0-5 (Game 1 box, Game 2 box)

In Conway, S.C., Keaton Weisz went 3 for 5 with a homer, two runs and three RBI, and Jared Johnson came off the bench to go 2 for 2 with a homer, two runs and two RBI as Coastal Carolina coasted past Michigan State in the first game of a doubleheader. Zach McCambley worked six innings with two hits and six strikeouts for the Chants.  

No. 20 Auburn 4, UCF 1

In Orlando, Edourd Julien homered and drove in two, and Tanner Burns yielded one run on two hits with seven strikeouts in 5.2 innings as Auburn slipped past UCF. Rankin Woley scored two runs for the Tigers (5-1), who were limited to five hits. Matthew Mike went 2 for 3 with a run for the Golden Knights (4-1).
