Slater steps down at Auburn
Auburn coach Tom Slater resigned Saturday, ending
his stay with the Tigers after four years.
Slater, an Auburn assistant from 1995-2000 and
former head coach at VMI, posted a record of 115-113 overall,
43-77 in the SEC. The Tigers were 28-28 this year and 11-19 in
SEC play.
