Miami stays unanimous No. 1 in CBI Composite Poll
North Carolina remains No. 2; Florida State tied with Arizona
State for No. 3
By sitting on top of all four national
polls, Miami
(Fla.) remains No. 1
in the CollegeBaseballInsider.com Composite Poll for the sixth consecutive week.
The Hurricanes went 2-1 this
past week to raise their record to 41-6. Miami took two of three at Virginia
Tech in their ACC series.
North Carolina (42-9) remains the consensus
No. 2 after defeating North Florida twice and taking two of three at ACC-rival
Virginia. Florida State (43-8) won
at Clemson to start the week, lost at home to Jacksonville and won three
against Savannah State to stay in a third-place tie
with Arizona State (40-9), which went 3-1 with a loss at Kansas State, a
victory at Wichita State and two wins over Loyola Marymount. Rice (39-11)
posted a 5-0 record for the week with wins over Texas State and Oklahoma State
and a three-game sweep of Houston.
Coastal Carolina (41-11) returns to the
poll at No. 19. LSU (35-16-1) makes its first appearance this season at No.
20.
