Miami remains No. 1 in CBI Composite Poll
Florida State, Arizona State and North Carolina stay at No. 2,
No. 3 and No. 4
For the second consecutive week, Miami
(Fla.) is on top of three of the four national
polls and remains No. 1
in the CollegeBaseballInsider.com Composite Poll.
The Hurricanes went 4-1 this
past week to raise their record to 30-3. Miami defeated Florida Gulf Coast
and then fell to Florida Atlantic. The Hurricanes rebounded to sweep a three-game ACC series
at Georgia Tech.
Florida State (31-3) won three ACC contests
at Boston College to retain the No. 2 spot. The Seminoles will host Miami this
weekend in a three-game ACC series.
Arizona State (30-4) took two of
three Pac-10 games at Washington State to stay at No. 3. North Carolina (29-7)
bounced back from a loss to Elon to defeat North Carolina A&T and sweep a
three-game ACC set at Clemson. UC Irvine won at UCLA and took two of three Big
West games at Long Beach State to return to No. 5.
Georgia (23-12) had a 3-2 week, but
after its three-game SEC sweep of Kentucky, the Bulldogs climbed five spots to
No. 12. San Diego (27-11) enjoyed a 5-0 week and jumped six places to No. 14.
Oklahoma State (23-10) and Ole Miss
(24-12) climb back into the poll.
