Arizona State is unanimous No. 1 in CBI Composite
Poll
Arizona remains No. 2; North Carolina stays at No. 3; FSU up
to No. 4
By sitting on top of all four national
polls,
Arizona State is No. 1
in the CollegeBaseballInsider.com Composite Poll.
The Sun Devils won their five home games this
past week to raise their record to 17-0. They won two close midweek games
against Arkansas and swept a three-game non-conference series this past
weekend against Troy.
Fellow Pac-10 member Arizona (12-2) took
two of three from Cal State Fullerton to retain the No. 2 spot. North
Carolina (14-3) went 4-1 to stay at No. 3. Florida State (16-1) split two
games with Georgia and swept a three-game ACC series with Georgia Tech to
climb one spot to No. 4. Miami (Fla.) (13-2) went 4-1 and moved up one place
to No. 5, giving the ACC three teams in the Top Five.
UC Irvine (14-1) went 4-0 to rise three
spots to No. 8. Missouri (13-2) also won its four games to climb three places to
No. 9. Kentucky (18-0) registered seven victories last week and jumped three
spots to No. 10. South Carolina (11-5) went 3-3 and dropped from No. 4 to No.
11.
