Texas Stays on Top of CBI Composite Poll (4/21)

Following a 4-0 week, Texas remained in first in the CBI Composite Poll.

The Longhorns defeated UTRGV before sweeping a three-game series from No. 7 Auburn. UT is first in all five national polls.

Clemson took two of three from No. 19 Louisville to move up one spot to second. The Tigers are second in all five national polls.

Oregon State went 4-0 and bumped up three places to third. The Beavers won at UCLA before sweeping a three-game set at CSUN. OSU is third in three polls, fourth in one poll and sixth in the other.

LSU had a 3-1 week and climbed five spots to fourth. The Tigers topped McNeese before taking two of three from No. 16. LSU is third in one poll, fourth in one poll, fifth in two polls and seventh in the other.

Arkansas went 2-2 and dropped three places to fifth. The Razorbacks beat UAPB before dropping two of three to Texas A&M. Arkansas is fourth in one poll, fifth in one poll, sixth in two polls and seventh in the other.

Tennessee was also 2-2 and fell one spot into a tie for fifth. The Vols beat Bellarmine before dropping two of three to Kentucky. UT is fourth in one poll, fifth in one poll, sixth in two polls and seventh in the other.

Coastal Carolina, Arizona and Troy entered this week’s CBI Composite Poll, while Ole Miss, Louisville and Georgia Tech all dropped out.

There are nine teams from the SEC in this week’s CBI Composite Poll, including seven in the Top 11 spots. There are three teams from the ACC, two from the Big 10, Big 12 and Sun Belt, and single entries from the Big West and independent.
