No. 1 Oregon State wins Corvallis Regional
Kyle Demedde had three hits and three RBI as OSU edged Vandy. Demedde had an RBI single in the fourth the tied the game at 2-2. His two-run single in the fifth gave the Beavers (47-16) a 6-3 lead. Matthew Gretler homered in the seventh to break a 6-6 deadlock. Cooper Hjerpe pitched the final two innings with no hits, no runs, one walk and five strikeouts to notch his first save. Spencer Jones went 2 for 5 with a homer, two runs and two RBI for the Commodores (39-23)
Stanford Regional
No. 1 Stanford 4,. No. 2 Texas State 3 (TSU eliminated)
No. 1 Stanford wins Stanford Regional
After TSU scored twice in the top of the ninth to take a 3-1 lead, Stanford plated three in the bottom of the ninth to take the regional crown. Both teams scored in the second before a two-run single by Wesley Faison with two away in the top of the ninth gave the Bobcats (47-14) a 3-1 edge. Drew Bowser and Tommy Troy had back-to-back homers to start the bottom of the ninth for the Cardinal (45-15) and tie the game at 3-3. Eddie Park (4 for 4) singled, was sacrificed to second, moved to third on a wild pitch and scored the game-winner on a base hit by pinch-hitter Trevor Haskins. Tristan Stivors, the closer for TSU, started and went 7.0 innings with eight hits, one run, one walk and nine strikeouts.
Stillwater Regional
No. 2 Arkansas 7, No. 1 Oklahoma State 3 (OSU eliminated)
No. 2 Arkansas wins Stillwater Regional
Jalen Battles had a two-run single in a four-run fourth, and Michael Turner added a two-run double in the ninth as Arkansas held off OSU to capture the Stillwater Regional. Peyton Stovall also had two hits and two RBI for the Razorbacks (41-19). Hagen Smith worked two scoreless innings with one walk and four strikeouts for his first collegiate save. He fanned two with the bases loaded in the eighth and the Cowboys )42-22) trailing by two. David Mendham went 2 for 4 with a homer for OSU, which stranded 10.
Auburn Regional
No. 1 Auburn 11, No. 2 UCLA 4 (UCLA eliminated
No. 1 Auburn wins Auburn Regional
Sonny DiChiara had three hits and four RBI as Auburn finished its suspended game with UCLA. Nate LaRue had a three-run double to cap a four-run sixth as the Tigers (40-19) took a 9-0 lead. Mason Barnett (3-2) fanned 10 in 5.1 scoreless innings with one hit and three walks in earning the victory. Carson Yates knocked in two for the Bruins (40-24).
Chapel Hill Regional
No. 1 North Carolina 7, No. 3 VCU 3 (VCU eliminated)
No. 1 North Carolina wins Chapel Hill Regional
Mikey Madej had a three-run homer to cap a four-run first as UNC defeated VCU. Danny Serretti (2 for 5, 2 R, 2 RBI) also went deep for the Tar Heels (42-20). Gage Gillian (3-3, 4.1 IP, H, 3 BB, 4 K) earned the win in relief. SJ Mathis went 2 for 3 with one run and one RBI for the Rams (42-20).
College Park Regional
No. 3 UConn 11, No. 1 Maryland 8 (UM eliminated)
No. 3 UConn wins College Park Regional
Matt Donlan belted a grand slam to cap a six-run first as UConn outlasted Maryland and advanced to a Super Regional for the first time in 11 years. Donlan finished with five RBI, while Bryan Padilla went 3 for 4 with a double, two runs and two RBI for the Huskies (49-14). K Keister went 3 for 4 with a double, a run and two RBI for the Terrapins (48-14).
Coral Gables Regional
No. 3 Ole Miss 22, No. 2 Arizona 6 (UA eliminated)
No. 3 Ole Miss wins Coral Gables Regional
Tim Elko went 4 for 4 with three home runs, six runs and five RBI as Ole Miss, the last at-large selection to even make the NCAA Tournament, blistered Arizona and earned its spot in the Super Regionals. The Rebels will have a short trip to Southern Miss for an in-state Super Regional that promises to be spirited. Ole Miss ended Southern Miss’ season last year in the Oxford Regional. Peyton Chatagnier went 4 for 6 with a homer, two runs and six RBI, and Kemp Alderman added a homer among his two hits, two runs and five RBI for Ole Miss. Blake Paugh had two homers and three RBI for the Wildcats.
Gainesville Regional
No. 2 Oklahoma 5, No. 1 Florida 4 (UF eliminated)
No. 2 Oklahoma wins Gainesville Regional
After a rain delay of five hours and 33 minutes, Oklahoma’s bats came to life, and the Sooners edged Florida to reach the Super Regionals. Peyton Graham hit a two-run homer as part of a four-run eighth inning, and Wallace Clark and Jackson Nicklaus also drove in runs in the outburst to give Oklahoma a 5-3 lead. The Gators closed to 5-4 on a solo homer by Wyatt Langford (3 for 5), but Jake Bennett was able to retire the final two batters to set up a trip to Virginia Tech in the Sooners’ first Super Regional since 2013. Jud Fabian made two splendid catches in center for Florida, one extending his right arm at his waist before crashing into the wall, the other a diving catch in front of him to save a run. OU centerfielder Tanner Treadway (3 for 5) also made an amazing catch, crashing back first into the wall in center.
Greenville Regional
No. 1 East Carolina 13, No. 3 Coastal Carolina 4 (CCU eliminated)
No. 1 East Carolina wins Greenville Regional
Bryson Worrell was a double short of the cycle, going 4 for 4 with four runs and four RBI as ECU corralled CCU. Worrell had an RBI triple in the first to start the scoring. He scored in the third and seventh before belting a three-run homer in the seventh. Jacob Jenkins-Cowart had three hits and three RBI for the Pirates (45-19). Tyler Johnson and Nick Lucky both went deep for the Chanticleers (39-20-1).
Hattiesburg Regional
No. 1 Southern Miss 8, No. 2 LSU 7 (LSU eliminated)
No. 1 Southern Miss wins Hattiesburg Regional
Gabe Montenegro had three hits and three RBI as Southern Miss edged LSU. Danny Lynch delivered a sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth to break a 7-7 deadlock. Tyler Stuart (4-0) retired the final batter in the eighth and worked a 1-2-3 ninth to secure the victory for the Golden Eagles (47-17). Tre’ Morgan had two hits and three RBI for the Tigers (40-22).
Louisville Regional
No. 1 Louisville 11, No. 3 Michigan 9 (UM eliminated)
No. 1 Louisville wins Louisville Regional
Trailing 9-7 in the eighth, Levi Usher tied it with a two-run single and Cameron Masterson put UL on top with a two-run homer in rallying past UM. Usher (4 for 5, 2 2B, 2 R, 4 RBI) had a two-run double to spark a seven-run first for the Cardinals (42-19-1). Joe Stewart went 4 for 5 with two doubles, two runs and two RBI for the Wolverines (34-28).
