Hokies Up to #5 in CBI Composite Poll (5/2)

Tennessee remains the unanimous No. 1 and Virginia Tech has risen to No. 5 in the CBI Composite Poll.

The Volunteers had a 3-1 week, with an SEC series win over No. 20 Auburn. UT is first in all six national polls.

Oregon State went 3-1 to stay in second. The Beavers had a Pac-12 series victory at Utah. OSU is second in five polls and third in the other.

Oklahoma State had a 4-0 week to rise four spots to No. 3. The Cowboys won at Wichita State and swept a three-game Big 12 series at Texas. OSU is third in three polls and fourth in the other three.

Arkansas went 3-1 and bumped up one place to fourth. The Razorbacks has an SEC series win over Ole Miss. Arkansas was second in one poll, third in one, fourth in two and fifth in the other two.

Virginia Tech went 3-1, with an ACC series victory at No. 8 Virginia. The Hokies are third in one poll, fourth in one, fifth in two, sixth in one and eighth in the other.

Texas A&M, LSU and Maryland moved into the poll, while Georgia, Texas and TCU all dropped out.

There are five teams from both the ACC and SEC in the CBI Composite Poll. There are three from the Pac-12, two from the Big 12, and single entries from the Big East, Big 10, Conference USA, Sun Belt and West Coast.
