Arizona into Top 10 in CBI Composite Poll (4/4)

Tennessee remained the unanimous No. 1, while Arizona moved up six spots to No. 10 in the latest CBI Composite poll.

The Volunteers went 4-0 last week, including a three-game sweep at sixth-ranked Vanderbilt. UT is first in all six national polls.

Virginia narrowly held onto second. The Cavaliers went 3-1 and took two of three from Georgia Tech. UVA was second in three polls and third in the other three.

Arkansas hangs onto third. The Razorbacks had a 3-1 week and won their SEC series against defending national champion Mississippi State. Arkansas was second in three polls, third in two and fourth in the other.

Texas Tech ticked up one spot to fourth. The Red Raiders went 4-1, with a series win at Kansas. TTU was third in one poll, fourth in three and fifth in the other two.

Oklahoma State moved up two places to No. 5. The Cowboys went 2-2 and won its series at Kansas State. OSU was fourth in one poll, fifth in one, sixth in one, seventh in two and 10th in the other.

No. 10 Arizona and No. 12 Notre Dame both climbed six spots.

Georgia, UCLA, Gonzaga and Stanford entered the poll, while North Carolina, TCU, Oregon and Florida all dropped out.

There were six teams from the SEC in this week’s CBI Composite Poll. There were five from the ACC, four from the Pac-12, three from the Big 12, and single entries from the Sun Belt and West Coast.
