Former TCU head coach Jim Schlossnagle has been hired to lead the program at Texas A&M.
Schlossnagle has been a head coach for 20 years, including the past 18 at TCU. He has an overall record of 811-393 (.674) in 20 seasons and 734-346 (.680) with the Horned Frogs. Schlossnagle helped guide the TCU program from Conference USA to the Mountain West and eventually to the Big 12. He led the Horned Frogs to the College World Series five times, once in 2010 and four consecutive years from 2014-17. TCU was a national semifinalist in 2010 and 2017.
In 2010 and in 2016, Schlossnagle was National Coach of the Year.
This past season, TCU was 41-19 overall and 17-7 in Big 12 play. The Horned Frogs tied Texas for the regular-season crown and won the Big 12 Tournament as the No. 2 seed. TCU was the No. 6 National Seed in the NCAA Tournament but ended its season by going 1-2 in the Fort Worth Regional.
