Nik McClaughry had an RBI single to spark the four-run eighth and added a run-scoring base hit in the ninth to snap a 5-5 deadlock. In Madison, Ala., O’Neill Burgos belted a three-run homer in the top of the ninth to erase a 6-4 deficit and lead Southern past JSU for the SWAC Championship and the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Burgos knocked in four in the game and was named the tourney’s MVP. Zavier Moore (3 for 5) also went deep for the Jaguars (20-28). Dimitri Frank (4-1) tossed two scoreless innings with one hit and two strikeouts to earn the win. Enrique Ozoa needed just seven pitches to work a perfect ninth with one punchout to record his seventh save. Equon Smith had two hits and two runs for the Tigers (34-9).

In Eugene, Ore., Christian Robinson had a two-run homer to cap a three-run 12th as Stanford rallied for a Pac-12 series win at Oregon.
